#Locking FEATS behind "Party" is "dumb" especially for console.

Y'all complain about anything. Just party up with some randos

or get some friends.
joining Discord for LFG is sooooo 2025. Get with it dog
I'm not a native English speaker, so I've felt a bit hesitant about joining parties here.
It seems like the Feats related to partying are designed to encourage interaction with random players through Discord, but from the perspective of someone who doesn't usually join parties (like me), they can still feel a bit intimidating.
Fortunately, the developers have mentioned that it's perfectly fine to create silent, mic-free parties in the LFG channel, so I might try reaching out for random teammates in the future.
It would be greatly appreciated if there could be a welcoming atmosphere for solo players as well, so that we don't feel left out.
I don't play with a mic, but I'm also on Xbox. I use the "looking for party" feature where I just tag it as no mic and put my code up. Eventually someone joins my party. Sometimes we stick together, sometimes we do our own thing. If you make the post and have people join you, you get to set the rules. Give it a shot.
I've never used a mic making a party in this LFG section. Mostly we just hang out as long as we want together. Sometimes we fill. Theres really no pressure or obligation unless the party leader states ahead of time.
What he said. I'll sometimes use a mic. But most people who use mic will be in the voice chat of discord or say they're.
Just look for invites in LFG chat or create a group yourself. I usually just drop the code and write what server I play and what map (example: QWERTY EU Inferno) and then proceed to play with whoever jumps in (not even needing a full party). Also note that while playing in a party, if someone ascends after an ascension battle, then everyone in a party will resurrect at the boss even if they die, so as long as one of you ascends, some of you can try to tp and help others at ascension battles, and even if they die, it's fine.
While I don't think it's a good idea to be removed, I very much agree that an in-game way to invite players to party without an external application or mode of contact to share the party code is something worth implementing. I like the party system as it currently works because it's easy to invite friends. But when playing solo while my friends are offline? It'd be nice to have a quick way to just throw an LFG request in-game or something. I'll still probably opt to drop a code here in this server more often than not, because I love this community, but I really don't think it's reasonable to expect everyone playing the game to join the Discord. (hell, a lot of players might not even have Discord)
Discord is nice, hell it’s even on Xbox itself now. But the lfg on Xbox itself is just as good and can use the whole Xbox invite to game and everything
As it stands I don’t think it’s a huge priority given how easy it is to get people from LFG on Discord, reddit or Xbox.
There’s much better things for the devs to focus unless they plan a PS release
I've been joining parties with people in here but I can see how having gaming progress linked to it is bad design. Unless parties can be easily found in game, forcing players to interact with methods they might not be comfortable with is so unneeded. The game kinda works by just joining 32 other people, this is as much multiplayering as lots of people will want. Whenever it starts requiring finding party codes and bein asked to use mic, some will find it a turn off.
If players do not want to use a mic, they do not have to use a mic. They are more than capable of creating their own no mic party and vibe.
If they don't comply with party leader demands they will have to keep looking for a party that allows it
That is the point, why bother players with looking for parties and specially ones that will allow them to be off mic?
At least give people random parties for joining solo, if party play is linked to progression
They can be their own party leader and specify they they won't be using a mic? Players who also don't want to use a mic can join. Players who want to talk can find other parties.
What you described to look for random parties as a solo player is doable with the LFG channel. I did it the other day because I didnt feel like joining a vc and wanted a quick run.
Why are you arguing against something that won't interfere at all with you but interferes with people that are complaining?
It's forum dude 🙂
Because every complaint about a problem that really isn't a problem is dev time away from the real content. Its just as important to say "no this isn't actually a problem"
