@long pier Hey Beb, had a quick question on the Clone Converter Tool...

I've gone thru the short tutorial a few times now and seem to be having some sort of Triangles issue. When I get to the point where I want to test importing it to Hyperfy.io for example, everything looks like yours except:

  1. i don't see a preview image and
  2. the Triangles count is 0
Everything else is the same - any idea what may be going wrong here? Or where I might look?

The only other difference I saw in the tutorial is that you were using Clone.Tools 2.1 and I am using Clone.Tools 2.0 (which is what's available on the Creator site right now), but I'm not sure if that actually has anything to do with it. In any case, please let me know when you have a second - thank you!

@tough heron 1) Preview image and triangle count is temporarily down. Hyperfy is running updates atm, this is on their side and will be fixed.

#

The 2.1 version I was using was just so I don't get 2.0 and 2.1 beta confused. On final, we renamed 2.1 to 2.0 public release. Its the same version I have.

I updated it about an hour ago to fix the Chibi VRM. It should work as intended now

Hi @long pier
3.5 pose library issue
Thumbs don't load on the "Pose & Animate" tab (1), but they load as "Unassigned" on general Asset Browser (2).

When I try to load them with the button I get an error.

#

@long pier sorry ignored! pose library was disabled by me. lol

#

Just in case someone else got an error.
enable pose library. 😂

Hey team, are there any known issues with tattoos for the VRM files? Wayne in #💬・3d-general is trying to use their Clone in Hyperfy with their tattoo (which shows up after thye run the Clone Converter process), but when they import the clone, they dont see the tattoo

#

It looks like the new CT update applies the Mix Shader node for Clones with Tattoos, and so i guess my question is, are there any issues with that node when it comes to optimizing the Clone for VRM?

#

Would a potential solution be to combine the tattoo and skin textures to make one texture for the base color, then go thru Clone Converter process (ie - not using the mix shader)?

Overlay the image of the tattoo exactly onto the face image and place that new image in the base colors image texture node. It will run perfectly in CC.

I am experimenting with having this overlay feature built into the plugin and/or do it automatically so the user never notices we even did that entire step.

Hey team, quick question for users that were able to find AF1 3D files and are trying to use CloneConverter to optimize them - should we expect that Clone.Tools is currently fully prepared to Optimize the Mesh/Textures so that they would look appropriate? Seeing the Metallic/Roughness with a Separate RGB node and im just wondering if there is potential when optimizing for them to come out a bit off (kind of similar to the tattoo issue i mentioned above), let me know when you have a minute - thank you!

Regarding users who are "able to find AF1 3D Files". Those files are not setup to work on Avatars. They are setup as Display pieces. There's going to be a few additional steps to make them Avatar ready.

Confirmed, appreciate the heads up - thank you JUSTRIGHT

Hey @long pier just downloaded and installed/enabled CloneTools 2.0 and I'm struggling to get the 3D files loaded. Been troubleshooting and redownloaded the files but still no luck. I took a screenshot of the crash log if that helps 🙏🏾

Are all the blendshape names finalized and always spaced with an "_" underscore? Also, any plans for expanding ARKIT blendshapes for parts like Roboto eyelash and eyebrows?

Found that the VRM pose in the pose library has a bit of a wide stance. VRM legs should be straight vertical, although the fix is pretty simple, just adjust both thigh bones to have the legs point straight down
