Short question, I struggle to get rid of the Armatures for each trait, im Alt + P unparenting, im changing the armature in the modifier but when I delete the extra armature It deletes the trait as well? What am I missing?!

yo I can help here!
Ok so when you append the trait into blender here's what you do:

1. click the item in viewport, alt-P, remove parent and keep transformation
2. in hierarchy panel: move the item OUTSIDE of the armature group it comes inside of (I normally move it into a new collection with the name of the clone I'm assembling)
3. Now with the actual trait pulled out of the armature layer thing, you can right click that thing and click Delete Hierarchy which will remove the whole damn thing, and won't leave any weird bits behind

of course you'll need to re-parent the trait to your main rig (helps to name your main rig so it's not an endless list of "genesis rig 1, 2, 3"

Uff some crazy sh*t ngl😂 didnt save them but for every 30 frame there was another prompt input. That’s what causes the change. Most of the prompts had: reptilian peoaple, lizard skin, Sci fi, dystopian

Oh after I made the basic story with my prompts for each 30 frame part i used gpt and told him to adapt the text to fit image generation made by stable diff.

hey @warm pagoda, I actually have an unreleased alpha build if you're up to test it out.
It currently can run on a gaming PC, iphone for face tracking, PoseAI and Rokoko support for full body mocap

gm fam, I got stuck with something on blender.... I'm trying to import the clone after animating on mixamo but not being able to apply the materials back, the entire character traits are identified as on unique piece... any tips what I should do to prevent this?

Is it that the materials are missing? if so you may need to import your base clone back in and then update the materials for your mixamo clone and then you can delete the extra one you imported for the materials

pretty much, but the mesh got grouped together so it does not differentiate the shirt from the pants for example/ Not sure if it's something I need to change while exporting to fbx/obj before uploading to mixamo?

hmmm, ya when you initially exported your clone in prep for Mixamo, it shouldnt have exported as one object; did you use Clone.Tools for the export? or just a manual file-->export?

I would try using the OBJ export from Clone.Tools and using that for the Mixamo import; youll have to re-assign those materials to your clone, but it only takes a minute to do that

Getting very close to releasing free vtube tool for community, leveraging UE5 lumen lighting/reflections VMC, Rokoko or AI based iOS mocap and clone tools 2.0 for simplified VRM conversions with more features inbound.

Actually, you could just retopo, decimate or something to low poly estimate, then weight paint the low poly, and then trasnfer the weights to the high poly

here is two ideas i got from devzukis fam, tell me how and if you would be interested in them:

• A website that will have a profile per clone, and that will allow the holder of this clone to upload commissions and every kind of art related to it
• A tool that will allow you to get a list of every clones holders socials (like a linktree or an ENS)

Lmk if you find any of these cool enough for me to work on, and if so which one should i build first

Also I would love to propose something, if we get enough volunteers, we might try to remove backgrounds of all of the clones, like if we get to 100 creators availables, we might do 200 clones each and so we could have a database with all of the assets needed to build cool banneer and / or customs pfp

lots of ideas comes from devzukis and I would be really hyped to build this kind of community projects with y'all

sounds cool, can you expand on what you mean with remove backgrounds? would that assembly be all in 2D? maybe I was thinking about something similar, would be cool if there is an application that can load the clone files directly like clone tools does and then you can configure and export all kinds of stuff like you say, banners/PFPs etc, not totally sure but I think this is possible though probably complicated, but would not need any batch preparation of clone assets, in other words maybe we can find a way to have this as a tool compatible with all clones from the start, just some thoughts did not think deeply about it

As long as users export as VRM from clone tools, I got ya'll on a solution for a 3D renders version (soon to be released build I'm working on will include greenscreen filter as well as ability to import HDRs and converted ones from Blockckade labs)

yeah I think all traits separately would be way to complex, would have to include information about the layering orders, a big mess and results wouldn't be good enough probably so just the clone is good, let me check if we can automate this from a folder of JPGs to batch produce the PNGs in photoshop

doesnt seem to work well enough unfortunately, on my own clone it worked perfectly with the cloud select subject function but some issues with random clones I tested

here you can see it didnt do well with the wings

and tiny details not precise

dont know if anything can outperform the photoshop tool, maybe some AI?

doing it by hand would be a lot of work, we could let it run through the whole sample and then go through by hand and delete all but the perfectly selected ones + you could give users the option to upload their pfp without background themselves

I have the mocopi, the IK solver in the app makes use of it a bit jank

I'd say usable realtime mocap = Rokoko, offline authoring, I've heard good things about Move.AI

If you're doing upper body only, there's a good deal of VMC protocol stuff out there

that's webcam based

but it'll be a tradeoff of upper body + face tracking of Upper body + finger tracking for now until new tech is released by Google

what kind of rig are you using with these tools? after lots of back and forth I think I'll stick with one created with AutoRigPro for now

Accurig is great for characters you don't need facial anims with, e.g. Clone Force avatars, but I tend to just stick to the clonetools exports to VRM and retain most of the based Genesis 8.1 ARKIT blendshapes as they're really good, wide support in the VRM/vtuber tool community

Aside from animating independent eyebrow movement (like the Rock), the blendshapes on base clone files are really good

Im not able to keep the textures using mixamo also. I export it from blender as obj and than reapply the textures directly in blender. I use obj cause it loads faster in mixamo.

Select your shoes first, then hold shift and select your armature

Go into pose mode then select the bone you want to parent it to, but you should check tutorials as you might want to weight paint it

yes

you should have 2 different textures for the hair/cap

select the hat on the object you want to apply the texture - edit mode - select the hat by pressing L with cursor on it - go to shader - create new material - select the hat texture - hit apply - go edit mode again - select all the hair parts - create new material - hit apply on the hair parts selected - select the hair texture for the hair parts you just selected

gotcha, you dont need to bake anything as far as i understand; at the end of the day the objects are missing the materials, you can bring the materials into UE5 explorer from the Clone objects folders and then set up the materials from within there

the material set up is similar to blender with nodes

most common reasons i hear for missing textures is either because 1) fbx just misses textures or because 2) the material node setup is too complex (ie - the princiapl BSDF should only be connected to image textures)

Yeah so if i bake my textures and connect it directly with an Image Texture node to the base color, maybe I can fix my problem ?

If youve done some customization to the materials, or some of your clone objets have additional nodes outside of a basic principal bsdf and image textures, then yes, you may need to re-bake those textures so that its only an image texture

f*ck yes it's here (don't know how I did). But the sole of the sandal still in the floor. Did I miss something with the geometry ? I put the origin to the geometry

Glad you got it working. As for the sandals, go back to blender with your clone open at hit the number 1 on your Number Pad to get the front view, look at the sandals relative to where 0 is on the Z axis; otherwise just slide it up slightly in UE5

It's node based. If you've used nodes before it should be easy

But nodes are simple enough I guess. Just channels for the colour, roughness, metallic, normal, bump etc. just plug all the images into their appropriate channels

Octane also has the toon/anime shader

Apologies for the late reply. As far as I know, you're gonna have to ask around I don't think they're openly available on the website. There are some files pinned on one of the creators chats if you wanna check those out. I don't think the dunks are there but still some cool models if you wanna have some fun 💫

(also when asking around be very careful of scammers. I have messaged in here for files before and immediately start getting DM's from scammers pretending to have the file I was looking for)

It was probably a problem in the website. I was connected. Now it is working.

I was able to download my DNA szn 1 Human and cryptokicks irl files.
But when it got to the genesis, I was able to download the shirt files, but here are no files for cap and socks.

And I found a bug, when I tried to download the pants ... it allowed me to download the female angel pants.

i was excited about the 3d files release but now after looking at the dunks fbx and workerbot i'm confused, did something happen to dunks fbx when exporting? pls tell me this is not the official version

when importing the dunk files in blender at first the pose is completely messed up and the armature needs to be reset to rest position (select armature, go to pose mode, select all bones, hold ALT and press R then S then G)

still the quality of the mesh and lack of textures and details is a bit shocking rn for me, curious what others think

(probably speaking/judging too quickly rn, gonna go through all available info and see if it might be me misunderstanding something)

Yes, but I quickly fixed by deleting the armature constraint on the dunk itself

It snapped into default position, and ready to be paired to your clone armature

If i'm understanding correctly also, these 3D files are going to continue to be enhanced based on the list of the 6 items in that article; so i guess what im saying is that if they arent initially compatible, my assumption is that eventually they will as they continue to enhance the 3D files across diff ecosystems

I was able to download the szn-1 files yesterday before they paused the download. Now I imported the glb. Changed the armature so that when I use the pose mode on Clone Tools it dows work. But, I still have the original armature that came with the shirt. How do I delete that? If I just delete the armature, the shirt is also deleted.

A little bit of chatGPT solved the issue.
Had to "unparent" the shirt from the existing mesh.
Anyway, it worked.
