Mostly as a tool. For Tree of knowledge that was a pain. Each piece underwent 4 stages of development from AI to interim manual editing and then multiple layers placed by hand on photoshop

GAN for the base model, edited on ipad, StyleGAN, Photoshop by superimposing bits and pieces layer by layer. Work was divided between myself and John, the artist I worked with.

Must have created a couple thousand base models and bonefied versions across the span of 9 months. Think of them as the raw assets then it’s manual work.

Never used TeamViewer and don't do much remote sessions other than for work, but in general, you're just always going to get stronger performance from a desktop.

When it comes to remote sessions and using creative programs (if that'd what you're trying), maybe use those sessions w your laptop to do more basic mesh, shaping, design work vs detailed, heavy effect usage, animation, etc.... and then when you get back to your desktop you can go at it.

For your laptop tho, the first thing I'd think you need to have is the strongest wifi/ethernet connection possible. And use ethernet cable when possible. You're remoting into a computer so the heavy lifting/processing should be done by the desktop you're removing in to

Just a quick tip. Be careful advertising that you're considering remote access. A friend of mine's wallets got wiped by a remote access hack via Teamviewer. No seed phrases shared, etc. We still haven't figured out how they did it

I second @severe dune with the Parsec recommendation. Tried all the remote desktop apps, most important thing is power of the PC youre tapping into and internet connection on both ends. Used my 2013 MacBook pro as my travel laptop for the last decade, and just remote into my workstation at home when I need to do heavy 3D work on the go. Helps to have a legit mouse + keyboard too for a mobile workstation

All the more reason to have a hardware wallet. There is 0 way for hackers to steal private keys that never interact/are stored on your computer. Would be easy to compromise wallets for mobile/hot wallets this way because the keys are stored locally

Twitter is also a bit lacking in that sense with their highest quality I guess being 720p. Instagram is at least 1080p with a new option to upload high quality videos that look almost 4k

I would super appreciate that, do you have an iphone X/XR or above, and a gaming PC with an RTX GPU?
I don't know how low of a GPU spec I can go yet. I have a 2080 RTX and getting 60 FPS with DLSS enabled.

The thing is I have Lumen lighting with real-time reflections and global illumination on so it's a bit heavy but DLSS gives it a 2-3x uplift in FPS

Thats a pretty nice saying but i wouldnt be so sure about that. Its easy for us to say that machines wont replace us with AI being in its infantry stages. We will see in 5 years!

The only advantage i see is that this means that clients have to describe exactly what they want ....so we are safe in that sense xD

Yeah thats right! i just saw this plugin video yesterday, where u can do simple blender set ups/scenes and the AI plugin will render out sick variations + you can feed it words to make it the way you want it to be. Its CRAZY!

Its basically doing years of experience/learning/work in matter of seconds, which is scary and unfair but we gotta adapt. Aint no way around it i guess?

Oh yeah, I was in a Unreal Engine dev discord, bumped into the guy wrking on the stable diffusion plugin for it. Looked really cool, can't do geometry yet, but you could block out a scene and project detail which looked really cool. With geometry node type stuff coming to UE5, wouldn't be surprised to see that stuff hapenning in the next 1-2 years
