Here's my take on it. I didn't make the spaces but:

Likely nike aquired the IP during the merge. CEO sees a loss on physical and can not justify continuing to dump funds into a losing market.

These guys are extremely creative group. Developing super cool products... but they are $hit at running a business. Ultimately this is a business with limited communication with the holders, a lack of foresight on drops, planning etc.

imagine you are a busienss minded CEO of one of the biggest companies in the world and you are dumping money into a collaboration with some creatives who can't run the business side of their vision. You're going to shut off the tap. It's simple.

Nike is not going to give the IP to the community. Likely this is shelved forever or at minimum until there is enough adoption to convince them to revive this... but this would take like 50% of the population adopting crypto for them to justify that.

I love this project and have always wanted it to succeed. have forged multiple shoes, but i dont see how this continues logically, as much as we all want it to.

I’m more concerned about the RTFKT app no longer being updated or hosted, it would render half of the Cirl features useless (autolacing settings and lights) making you resort to using your hands to press the buttons to lace/unlace. Happened with the Nike Adapt app recently. I made sure to have it installed on a few devices that don’t have updates anymore and backed up the .apk just in case so there may be workarounds, but RTFKT servers housing the RTFKT login data being taken offline is what will really kill the app no matter what. 😭😭😭

ONLY solution to this is somehow using a bluetooth decoder / transmitter to mimic the bluetooth commands but even that may not work long term since the signal may change after shoes are rebooted or if they turn off from a low battery. Also wouldn’t work on shoes not paired before the app is offline completely.

I equipped a vial skin on a sneaker about an hour ago, but on OpenSea, I still see the vial skin separate and the sneaker with its regular look, like it’s not equipped. But when I check on the RTFKT page, it shows the sneaker as equipped and says I don’t have any vial. Not sure if it just takes time to update on OpenSea or if I should be worried about it. Thanks a bunch in advance!

got into akutar for free literally. I use to collect all the chapter of micah johnson when he was making release on nifty and I bought two each time. Then hold onto them to the last minute re-sell all of them for a huge profit & this got me my free akutar + lots of ETH
