During downturns projects tend to go into "protect capital" mode. Seems likely MNLTH reveal will happen when RTFKT wakes up from the crypto winter and has the go ahead from Nike to push something that requires a budget.

Most people here kind of have the opinion that RTFKT is already dead. But I think what's more likely is that they're waiting for the right market fit and lining up plans to match. Prob stars aligning to start the thaw soon, if I were to guess

Nike owns RTFKT. It's a division of their brand now. The question is, will this active division remain that way? So far it appears that they've chosen to not entirely push RTFKT fully dormant. So you ask yourself why? If the IP is something they could just shelf, why not completely wind down for now? I think the answer is right there in the question. Nike has been in "wait and see" mode.

And now that the crypto market and regulatory environment has done a complete 180, downstream effects are going to start to show up in the markets. Companies and projects can't pivot on a dime, but this is the exact sort of thing any brand on the fence dreams of.

Whatever is in Nike's "wait and see" strategy, is likely at this moment adapting to these changing conditions. Whether that means RTFKT comes roaring back to life next quarter, or Nike itself takes a more direct role in the digital space. I suspect they're getting their plans in order as we speak

FWIW I finished 36th on the leaderboard and walked around 155 miles. The shoes did hold up really well. I have a bad back so I just walked instead of ran. They are a bit clunky like basketball shoes but I don’t think they were uncomfortable by any means. I don't think so. The nft metadata is all stored centrally on the rtfkt website. I don't think anyone will bear the costs of maintaining the server in the long term and if the server is down you have an nft with just an ID and nothing else, no metadata, no image just an ID.
