Can I transfer the clone to the egg wallet, incubate it, and then transfer the clone back to its starting wallet? they originated from mint vials, upon reveal it is random to prevent trait sniping

you just have to keep your incubated tokens in the wallet until the snapshot is taken and you choose to reveal it

as long as you lock in your incubation choices before the period ends you'll still receive the points

so to be clear, u dont have to incubate thru the entire period

but as soon as you start incubating you cant move nfts around before you reveal if you want your points to count

If this is the case does this mean that the backend API, is in charge of what animus you unlock instead of on chain.

Incubation is an off chain event, so won’t have to pay gas. Once you’re able to see yourself on the leaderboard you are good to go 👍

Keep in mind if you move nfts before the end of incubation you won’t keep the points, just remain in the same wallet

Does longer incubation have any bearing? Can someone incubate on the last day and have the same affect as if they were to incubate from the start

It’s based on my points, that’s what determines where you end up. Time won’t impact your points so you are fine to incubate as long as it’s before incubation ends. (Obviously don’t wait till last minute in case you experience issues)

Thanks one last question, does my wallet address have any affect on the outcome or points in anyway?

E.g is the public address used in calculation during the Animus reveal.

Assuming the reveal is done via points for rarity, but I would assume it requires some randomness. Either a random number generator or using the public address in combination with some hashing function

Right so points determine chance at revealing a rare. This was the best way to satisfy long term holders/supporters but also newcomers so it wasn’t solely based on having the most funds. So there is indeed rng in effect.

As for the first question, it won’t matter as long as you have the assets in that wallet and remain in that wallet for the duration of the incubation period. Points don’t transfer if you sell or move the egg so must remain in that wallet. Whichever wallet you choose is fine (assuming the site support the wallet ofc)

Steps for setting up delegate is

• going to the site
• connecting your ledger
• paste wallet id of hot wallet
• sign transaction + gas fee
• disconnect ledger

However I recommend searching YouTube videos so you make sure you’re on the right thing
