The nft would’ve gotten you access but at the moment it’s too late, wouldn’t only be able to purchase on secondary market like eBay or stockx.

The way it works is the nft gets you guaranteed access, it’s open during a certain timeframe as they are made to order items so once it’s done it’s final. Because they are made to order, there is some time before they get in hand. The most recent dunks don’t ship out till summer so won’t see them yet

It varies as the ecosystem grows, but it did originate from owning a clone. Dunks came from the MNLTH that was airdropped to clones, then clones had access to specific dna Air Force 1s.

As for what to buy, it’s best to wait until official announcement since it’s unknown when or what the next forging event will take place.

The physical and digital aspects are two separate items so if if someone buys the physical shoe for example and really want to explore the digital side they can buy the nft and if they can link it with the shoe successfully then it’s the real deal

However if you wore out your shoe for example, the nft doesn’t go to waste because they are two separate items so you can connect to another shoe. Rather than it being lost due to it being fixed on the specific item.

Hundreds of people who bought clonex in 2022 to support the project and to get into the clonex/rtfkt family literally lost money and didn’t get anything on return except vague words like “you will have a god tier” (a year passed, but I haven’t noticed that) and couple of forging events where they needed to invest more to buy merch , pretty good on but is the the value you expected when invested +100k$ in clones?
And I am not talking about price dump itself, I am talking about overall experience and communication

all forging events are time limited

at the very moment, there are no current forging events

however, nearly all past forging nfts have been available to clone holders in some way

You gotta up your tech game a bit for your security, but here are some tips from someone who got drained lol:

• Make sure you store your wallet phrase somewhere safe, ideally in a physical form that only you have access to, but you can use a password manager too (with 2fa authentication and all that. (That wasn't how I got drained though)
• Don't connect your wallet to dApps you don't know, double and triple check and check the contract if you can.
• Disconnect/close from dApps as soon you don't need it anymore, and also revoke approvals via "revoke.cash".

I also saw some people recommend using wallet_guard (twitter profile) for helping out identify what website what you to allow in given trasaction

if you've connected your ledger to sites, signed approvals from ledger... there is a risk and its no longer a cold wallet vault

if you set up your ledger with the seed phrase generated offline, never connect it to anything (including opensea), no approvals for anything then its bulletproof

realistically, when u want to trade, sell or do any website connections, marketplaces, loans etc then you should transfer the nft out of the cold wallet, to a hot wallet so there is no exposed risk to the vault. even gasless approvals can introduce a vulnerability

And for me that was the case, I was supposed to get an airdrop that was officially announced, and while scrolling around on X there was a comment/tweet underneath from an almost identical X account (they even had a gold check and all that) and usually, I spot these guys and report them everyday lol, but I was on the phone listening to some stuff and not paying much attention, So I clicked that link and connected and approved through my wallet, and again the website looked legit with identical design, and the amount shown on MetaMask was just the gas fees (about 7$) and since it executes some contract for “set approval” and “increase approval” and on the phone wallet you just don't see enough about that nothing looked sus at the time.

Sorry for the long rant, but I just wanted to vent out, and also maybe this would prevent someone from falling into a similar situation.
