If it is the og colorway you can pair that with the nft you have. The black and red one, or x colorway, you scan the nfc chip on the shoe to get the digital counterpart so you won’t have to buy another nft

For vial nft holders, they have an opportunity to buy the physical counterpart of the vial nft to apply on their shoes if they wish to do so. Just a reminder the forge will just be the vial itself Optional of course , but vial forging date is tba

Ok. I see there is a site to pair your Vial with your Dunks. Is it possible that people have paired the Vial and decided to put it up for sale after?

I went on the site to connect wallet to pair ..and this question was the firts to come to mind

The equipping of vials at the moment is off chain, so it’s only reflected on the RTFKT site.

However, there are small number of vials applied to dunks from when it went live, but those are not suggested to be bought because they can be unequipped (which led to the team making it off chain for now)

So vials were designed to update the dunk genesis and give it different looks based on the vials. Thus making the vial nfts equip-able on the dunks. However, the metadata on the nfts don’t update as fast. Therefore people were scamming eachother by selling shoes that looked equipped when it wasn’t. For now, only on the RTFKT site will the shoe look equipped.

There are some that remain attached with the vial in nft form, but those are not recommended to be purchased as they may not have the vial

The dunk genesis would look different + in the metadata

So if you’re looking at just the evox nfts, you can disregard that. If you’re looking at the dunk genesis collection then that’s where you can see those shoes with vials attached
