its really quite simple. Opensea is US-based company, and they have to abide by federal laws regarding stolen property.

once its reported stolen, theyre obligated by law to flag it and prevent its sale on their platform.

while flagging is inconvenient and hurts resale on these clones, you're only blacklisted by opensea, not other marketplaces. and RTFKT does not blacklist your stolen clone either, so its not a totally game breaking

This was the Clone that was stolen from me! I want it back, but a hole group got this and a bunch of other things.

and the benny guy i believe was part of the group too. Changed hands 3-5 times. I had this one for a long long time. Was gonna hold forever. This is why I lost trust in a lot of people regarding certain nft projects.

I paid a lot for 2789, well before floor and project tanked. I still want this back, but dont want to pay really for something that was mine all along. I wish for the worst karma for people who are scammers. One day, those who do those things, it will happen and they will suffer...

RTFKT refers to physical redemption as "forging" , so how it works is RTFKT will announce a time period where forging event takes place and people will be able to redeem the physical version of the nft. When you "forge" it you get both the physical product and a "forged" nft meaning you redeemed it. These are typically made to order items so supply and sizes depend on the holders.

It can't always be at the expense of participants who have already funded many of their other projects.

I also want to reiterate from not just a consumer perspective but from a community perspective. @nova ingot stated that they had to charge to forge due to lack of sales over the last year and they need operating funds. What I'm hearing from you is that they didn't sale last year because of feelings expressed during the last round of FUD and the community was heard. It kind of feels like double talk. They heard and so they stopped using as a piggy bank at that moment but it was just Ling enough to let emotions cool. That's kind of what I hear when combining both of your statements. I could be misinterpreting. As far as ponzi, I think that was the feeling before with using that harsh language. I wouldn't even say ponzi, I'd say it feels more pyramid ish.. sure, some people really value the tangible physical goods and the experience. But some want to make money.
