i think they have their own marketing strategy and probably not shilling RTFKT shoes to their userbase because its likely too soon, they're pacing themselves for what i imagine, are good reasons.

there's also something to be said, where RTFKT needs to bootstrap the brand on its own merits. it's fine if we can grow a more niche, grassroots, underground following first, in order to build brand credibility and develop the culture surrounding it, before Nike tries to push this onto consumers too early.

As far as I'm concerned, this is my own simple way of understanding - Clone X is the centre of the ecosystem, which is interactive in a "metaverse" setting (ie loot pod, space pod) and has access to minting highly exclusive Nike gear (collab with murakami, air force 1s, cryptokicks irl etc)

It seems to be a question of "when", not "if" - I'm happy with RTFKT now working on RTFKT, while .swoosh carries out its mission to reach out with a more tangible approach to "web3" for the common person on the internet

I think naturally as humans, when we are presented with a small choice of options, we compare things in more detail and often with less indifference. When I say this, I mean we are more vocal about even the choices we would usually just skip without thinking about

So when we get 10 shoes to choose from (as opposed to a whole store or webpage filled with hundreds of options) we are often more critical of the ones we like the least! Personally, I think comparing the murakami drips to the dnas is like comparing the rolls Royce to a porsche, in a parking lot full of other supercars such as mclaren and Ferrari, without noticing the parking lot behind us that's filled with Toyotas and Hyundais!! 🤣🤣 @polar blaze

Seems a lot of people on CT are a lil upset because of .swoosh being nikes first virtual collection. I'm no expert, but RTFKT is a subsidiary company of nike owned by nike. The Clones were technically dropped by RTFKT and not nike themselves. The kicks and the clone X - air force skin vials weren’t technically nikes first virtual collection as it was a collab between RTFKT and Nike.

the .swoosh mint is to bring the masses and normies thats why the mint is set at like 20$.

Personally i don't think clones are done yet
