Buying the shoe NFT on secondary only gives you the digital NFT. No forging is available for those because they are forged already. The hubbed NFTs are available for forge but they have a size chosen beforehand and cannot be changed for the shoe size.

If you mint directly using the Lace engine, you can mint and forge the shoe colorway and size you want.

Yep it is. it is the standard Nike sizing guide which isn't accurate to air force 1. Air force 1s in my experience run large. for some people they are fine, but for me i have to go down .5 a size. My true size is 10 but i have to wear 9.5 or 9 sometimes.
