I’m writing on behalf of a good friend who has a killer T6 account they’ve put a lot of work into. I know there are others out there, too. I heard that when Test Your Mettle was first released, there was a T6 map, but it was removed because of lack of participation. Could you please try it again? #justiceforT6s 🥹

I will attest to the killer t6 accounts beefiness !

It’s low power 😂

Well under 100M

But I bet it’s also house 50, therefore I probably won’t solo 🤣

dense sequoia

Of course it is 😂

Full L40 farming gear even 😂

@dense sequoia I don’t see your reaction

Tbh, I’m sure if the did a tym for t7 and t6, the op t6 would rule the bracket

as far as I'm aware the T8 solo record is 106M and the T7 solo record 130M

Plus the whole point of TYM was for players to fight other players at their own level.

Yeah and there is the march size issue. Since as t7 you can have a 69 dragon so you can send takeovers and rein seats with a lot more troops

I think you’re right

They'd have to add an event buff where all dragons can attack/take over/rein seats I'd think, because T6 can't do any of that stuff normally. They did have an event way back when that allowed all dragons to takeover seats during the event, so I'd guess the coding exists.

why do i feel like having that feature would somehow cause a bug that would revert everyone's dragons back to eggs?

the reason T6 TYM doesn't happen is because of population concerns if I remember correctly
that might be addressable by increasing the number of kingdoms for a particular TYM map - nothing more nothing less, no extra features or event buffs

Helllll yeahhhhh

as someone pointed out somewhere, the disparity would be crazy. while it is true that there are some crazy strong t6s out there, t6s cant even unlock attack dragons so they would get obliterated by t7s

I just thought making it optional for lower tiers, which would otherwise be excluded from the event, to join the t6 kingdom might help both with the population issues and allow those players who choose to stay at those tiers for various reasons to play the event.

The strength difference between a strong K15 (T5) and the average t6 is much smaller than a K18 and a T7 with adult dragon, so that might be a better option than some of the other ideas mentioned in previous replies.

ngl, id love to be put with lower levels -- maybe the t6s would compete against me :)

-It's also worth noting that many younger kingdoms will have a much higher population of keeps below the current minimum to participate in Test Your Mettle events.
Home kingdom seats are also locked during TYM, so adding an event kingdom for those smaller keeps is also the only way they'll be able to play at SOPs in any capacity during the event weekends.

#

For older kingdoms, one possible solution to the T6 population issue could be to open the T6 kingdom up to lower keep levels below T6 in order to allow smaller keeps to participate in the event where they otherwise wouldn't be allowed.

To solve the population/participation issue for a T6 server, the server could be opened to anyone T6 or lower, allowing those players who normally wouldn't be able to participate the option to do so if they choose.

There are several strong T6 keeps in the elder kingdom I'm currently in, and several more in other elder kingdoms.

-Probably worth noting that these T6 keeps outnumber the current active T7s in some of the elder kingdoms.

Or T6s could get the hint from the dev team and move up to the T7 tier.

The whole point of Test Your Mettle was for players at lower troop tiers to be able to fight and "test their mettle" against players of the same size and comparable strength. Trying to force players to move up to a higher tier pretty much defeats the whole purpose.

Up to a practical point. Might be a disconnect between what you and WB consider a minimum viable troop tier driven event.

# errant topaz To solve the population/participation issue for a T6 server, the server could be...

It’s nice you want the t6 and below keeps to feel included in the mettle but fun fact is that usually those keeps have fairly low stats and power. While that’s fine if that’s the way they play, a thing to keep in mind is that on the mettle map keeps can solo other keeps. It’s enough to have just a few ok keeps on the map to wreck havoc on the entire t6 and below community 😂 because no matter how much you warn them or write in the description in the event the amount of baby keeps that will be on fire and all their upset owners is a headache WB probably doesn’t need.

I don't see any arguments on here that wouldn't be made if we were talking about adding T7s instead.

I obviously don't have WB's level of access to look at T6 (or lower) participation on node events, but that would probably be a good indicator for the level of activity we'd see in a T6 kingdom.

dense sequoia
#

The way I see WB’s logic on cutting the mettle at the t7 tier is that a huge part of clearing a seat and then defending it is having a dragon.

#

T7s can have a maxed 69 dragon so technically they don’t have any limitations so to speak

#

While t6s and below can’t use their dragons like that so it completely changes the way the mettle works

#

And then it comes to the sheer volume of players. The t6s and below that have some stats definitely don’t exceed 20 keeps across all kingdoms and 20 is even generous

The cutoff was said to be due to participation level in the test kingdom. As previously suggested, one possible solution would be to open it to lower level keeps to allow them to participate.
