Fix email subscribers process via WB games account binding process

I read a lot of malfunction reports regarding the gifts (like dragon eggs) that email subscribers should receive but never received.
Therefore, I made a study within my alliance and mates.
Despite what I read, the conclusion is not that the malfunction is not consistent.
The study is related to :

• over 100 x 5 years old accounts
• over 200 x 3-4 years old accounts
• over 100 x 0-2 years old accounts
• they were all bound to WB games accounts within the last 6 months

The only accounts that receive email subscribers gifts are the ones that subscribed via the old email subscribers link over 4 years ago.

I suggest to enhance the WB games accounts binding system in order to fix this consistent issue.

No change.

Whatever the kingdom, f2p or p2p, active 7/7 or not, some players keep missing these juicy gifts while others receive them.
Sending welcome back gifts to inactive accounts is already unfair enough, not sending subscriber gifts to active players, even spenders, is really unfair.

I don't know why the WB accounts binding fails sending these gifts, but an easy fix could be to send these gifts to every active account (not to exiled accounts) in elder kingdoms (not in kingdoms having invite codes).

2025 April 22nd update

Worst gift ever 🤬

A subscriber gift was sent yesterday, including 3x golden dragon eggs.
Many main accounts did not receive it whereas they received the previous ones, and whereas some ALTs, even exiled accounts, received it this time.

This malfunction has reached a critical point where players spending the same money can earn very different rewards for a same action, from nothing to very valuable rewards.

It's creating a serious imbalance risk in the long term.

You should either fix it or send this gift to anyone not exiled

This has been a constant problem since the subscription process changed. As documented above, it doesn’t appear that subscriber gifts are being pushed out at all for accounts subscribed using the new WB bind process.

Back to normal failure
Elder keeps who have subscribed via the former link did receive the gift, other elder keeps did not.
I haven't identified a systemic failure regarding younger keeps. Some received it some did not, whatever their activity.
I still recommend sending this gift to every game account bound to a WB games account.

When you check your mail, under promotions, you may see a game promo from wbgames (other than gotconquest) At the bottom of the email, click “Update your preferences” then tick the box for Game of Thrones Conquest if it’s unticked, then Update

You’re likely to see Lego Batman from 10 September,
DC Worlds Collide from 27 July,
WB Games Summer Sale from 30 June, etc in the Promotions folder of your mail (GMAIL) or Other (Outlook)

In your WB games account profile you can also tick this kind of box, and it appeared to be ticked for my elder accounts that subscribed via the old subscription link.

It seems that the subscription process correction (in-game notice that we received 2 days ago) failed because there is absolutely no change with the ongoing subscriber gift whereas I ticked the box a few weeks ago, as explained in the correction notice 🤷

Has anyone observed a positive effect of this correction ?

@night canopy Please let me fix this for you, free of charge. I can see what's happening and where it's going wrong. The Email Signup in-game links to the original subscription signup page, which I believe still works. You'll see the old red background with the dragon briefly (milliseconds). The problem is that it immediately redirects to the WB Accounts page and loses the game's session token, replacing it with your WB Games ID.

Note that both of GOTC's in-game notices linked to the same faulty page, there was no difference between the notice's links.

Access to the Subscription Center should be reserved for unsubscribing, not subscribing. The Email Signup button in game should be the only thing people have to click, and the subsequent form should be as simple as it was before WB Games accounts came onto the scene.

This person is double bound (WB and Google), subscribed in every way possible, received nothing.

I went to some lengths to ensure I was subscribed, to no avail. I went as far as to sign up for emails from warnerbrosgames.com as well, but nothing's worked. I have a feeling the two mailing lists aren't communicating and nobody at WB seems to care very much.

We did, and got the automated Masashi bot response with no gift. They phrase the response as if something was sent, but nothing's there. Maybe they sent some food or something 🤷‍♂️

You can also try delete you WB account and bind it again. It often seems to manage to correctly link to the subscribers' list.

When you delete the WB account, does your progress get lost as well? How does it work? Can you elaborate?

Be careful, do not log off before binding it again (unless you are also bound via Google or Apple). If you log off before you will lose your progress forever.

One of the main problems here is that the subscription status on the site has no effect on receiving the subscription gift. As I showed above, this player was already subscribed and receives the WB spam in her inbox, she just doesn't get the gift. The system needs to be scrapped and reset.

Weird, from my own experience, the players who received the gifts always received the ads, and in the contrary the others never received any ads.

I've never received any subscriber gifts. I've only just recently joined this server. In the time I've been playing gotc I've never got anything

I get them but not consistently and my keep was on original subscriber list. When I sent a ticket in the last time they came out, CS told me gifts are not sent out to all the keeps on the list each time so there’s no guarantee you will receive a gift each time. I’d post a screenshot but I don’t feel like getting banned for it. 😂

Reminder the subscriber gift comes outside of what community team and the studio control. Like it comes from corporate.
