Add the word "microslop" as a banned word

We discussed this in the mod team earlier but the issue is that it might attract more of them.

We are not opposed against the word itself. Just against the spam and wrong channel use. If we block it, we might become a larger target by raids.

If we add channels to it. It still might end up them thinking they can use it

because if you just allow people to spam nonsense across the whole server, might want to revisit the rule

The problem with Microslop: the kiddo's people who use it, don't care. When they see they get auto banned by using the word, the will go banana's.

Yes, and that's how the mod team has agreed upon. My personal opinion is that it's just a word. If the other <@&842906326736437248> feel like it, we can always revise and re-discuss. But until today, we haven't seen a single user mentioning it in weeks.

E.g. if I write a message that's illegal (literraly against the law), you're legally responsible for it

Outside of slurs and other hate-filled words, I'm generally not a fan of policing the specific words others use. I'd love it if we could swear, since I think it adds colorful seasoning to any language. So if someone wants to say "microslop", more power to them. Plus, no other MS ecosystem server that I'm on has banned it or has trouble with it (that I've seen). Far as I can tell, it was only that one server that started it all by deciding to pour gasoline on their own fire.

Now, if the word coincides with behavior that breaks the rules, sure, throw the book at them for spamming, not sticking to channel topics, or whatever else.

Yeah, the idea of my suggestion could be modified to "Ban spamming"

It's annoying to come see notifications and they all are the same word in all channels

(and removing those doesn't remove the notifications anyway)

Yeah, the channel activity thing can be annoying but that's more on Discord than any lack of moderation. Like Dennis mentioned, though, Ith will take a look at how the bot's handling it. I wouldn't mind seeing some stricter enforcement there. Nobody should be able to blanket the channels.
