While not sure how the game works exactly, you should have a rigidbody on the line "head" and it shouldn't be kinematic
Then make a raycast to check if the line grounded, and stop instantiating cubes when the raycast fails (meaning, the line is not grounded)
In the rigidbody, did you set the mass too, or did you leave it as it is.
Pretty sure you have to increase it.
The mass shouldn't impact the gravity
Make it something that makes sense: 1, 10, maybe 100
10-15 should be good if you want to make it like original dl
