What’s good my name is Dre I recently just started YouTube I’m picking up fast on the editing and stuff. I just need some constructive criticism on what I could improve. https://youtu.be/otNjLUMAh28?si=r9odOs1PKiAzrvm6

Wish I could help with your content, but I typically don't watch gaming videos. What I will say though is I do really like your Thumb
Thank you🔥🔥
Feedback for @small whale. Little weird way to start a video by messing with your controls and sounds.
However, not sure if it adds anything. However, if you switched that clip with a highlight clip of later in the video, it would work very well.
But you should be sure that your settings of the game are completely set up correctly before recording.
I like the layout of your camera, your facial expressions are a nice addition to the video and the content. Especially when you get scared of an enemy, etc.
One mistake you make, that a lot of people do when they first start YouTube is that they don't have a GOAL of the video. Like what is the POINT of the video? Emphasize that at the beginning, in your intro. Like: Today we're going to the exit at the end of this level in order to escape all these zombies. While Keyzz, here is helping us get there.
Not sure if this is the best game to play right now. I'm unsure about the popularity of this game, seeing as it is quite old and many people have done a playthrough. But as long as you upload SOMETHING, it's always better than nothing (I should follow my own advice on that).
I would cut away more dead space and moments where you're just silent. I feel like this 17 minute video could have been a 12 minute video.
And also emphasize how dramatic things are sometimes. Whatever emotion you feel while playing, exaggerate it. Like: 'OH GOD THERE SO MANY ZOMBIES AROUND'.
It is also very difficult to hear Keyzz (zero) talk, if you don't yet, try and record everything on a separate layer. Like Mic on 1 track, Discord on another track and then the game on the last track. That way, you can master the audio in editing and correct the volume of each part individually rather than 1 massive track.
(Seeing as the game audio is also quite loud compared to the rest)
The game is also quite dark, I feel like with an adjustment layer you could boost the shadows a little bit so it looks better on YouTube. YouTube compresses a lot of the shadows by default to save space, making some scenes a lot darker than they were while you were recording. Definitely boost them a little for clarity.
Now, my viewer fatique kicked in at around 7 minutes which is about 40% of the video. Which is good. However, if you want to extend that, put in a new hook at that point in the video. Speak to the audience directly again. like look at the camera and go 'Damn, the witch over there kinda scary but for you guys (the viewers) I'll sacrifice myself in order to get through this'. It's a little cringe but it's the best I can come up with rn.
Your Thumbnail is really awesome
Yo man I think the vids are great but just some personal advice, I think you can add a lot more appeal to the videos with sound effects at those zoom moments, as well as captions throughout the video that have good animation, like pop up and shaking animations. Maybe invest in a green screen, and cut down the length of the videos because people I think gravitate more to shorter vids now.
not tryna sound like karen or nun lmao
