Hey folks,

The new wiki is going public today at Sunnyside.wiki.gg. We'll pin this message so people can find it easily.

Just a few notes:

  • The visuals of the wiki.gg page look different than the fandom page. That was one of the things that didn't fully translate in the migration. Probably the most noticably thing is the hyperlinks are now teal instead of the previous dark pink. The color scheme for Dark and Light mode still need to be tweaked. Let us know if anything is hard to see or read because of the colors

  • There's a Wiki To Do page near the top of the side navigation menu. We made this page to 1) post ongoing large projects that need to be done or general information that needs to be added, and 2) have a place for people to suggest or request information be added, especially if folks aren't comfortable adding stuff themselves. The To Do list currently doesn't have every little thing that needs to be done. I'll probably be adding more stuff at the end of the week

  • We at least updated all pages, but a lot of the pages that existed before the migration we largely left alone beyond making their formating a little more consistent. The only exception is the Farming page - the large information table on the Farming page is now on the SunnySeed App page (to avoid having that table across multiple pages) and the Farming page instead links to individual crop pages (or will automatically once they are all made)

Have fun adding to the wiki! I'll be on vacation and not super accessible for the next week, so if there's a major problem  please contact @urban fog

Got some of the shops stock and services updated, also just getting used to wiki formatting. Might be easier to script out some of these with how the interface is set up tbh. Like I could set a script to pull from excel sheet and give the text version of the page, using potato as a template to make all 100+ crop pages in one go. Might switch gears from shops to crops in that case, as shops are a bit more manual I think

Tomorrow I should have all the crop pages created, although Im going to automate it, so while I should be able to populate most of the basic info stuff in the info box, I will probably leave some of the parts like gifting and recipes as TBD initially, and those can be filled out later (either by someone else looking for something to do, or me after I finish other things that I consider a little more high priority)

Relating to spelling… I am assuming that US English is the version we should be checking against? I will have to organise my cosy colours differently if that’s the case. Joshlol

I believe the game itself uses US English (see Yogurt vs Yoghurt or Gray vs Grey), so probably yes.

Doesn’t really matter but a single US person has done majority of the wiki so that was the default lol

Hi all! This is my first time trying to contribute to a game's wiki so I'll probably just stick to the Wiki To Do List for now. Seems like a fun thing to have a hand in.
