When putting items into machines, they do not give the correct amount of items that the job has been put in for. Tested with Snow peas on the dryer. Put in for a Job of 5, (for 50 seeds) recieved only 40. Put in for a job of 4 (for 40 seeds) recieved only 30. In the packaging machine I put in for a Job of 50, recieved 49. Put in for a Job of 49, recieved 48 (Experiemented with Poppy Seeds). So far I've only noticed it for these two machines.

I'll be keeping an eye out in my game to see if it's happening to me as well. I usually run through my dryers and spam E.
That's what I normally do but I didn't catch it until I was like wait... I know I put 5 job orders in for snow pea seeds why did I only get 40 🤔
Figured it out. If you add the quanity to your job by the picture, IE just clicking on the item in the leftside window, it skips number 2. It goes 1, 3, 4 and so on. but it still takes the items as if that 2nd job was included. If you do it by the plus and minus on the right window, it doesn't do that and preforms as it should. I kept wondering why some of my jobs weren't going for the full amount of time. Some I would put in for 25hrs and it would say 16hrs when I would confirm. I'm going to test this on the packaging machine later but so far it is the case with the dryers
I've done some testing on this, and I can verify some of that and add some details:
-Clicking the recipe icon to increase the job count skips a number the first time you do it, increasing the displayed values and the number of ingredients taken, but not the number of products made (like Shay said).
-Clicking the recipe icon after the job count has reached the maximum will increase the number of products made, but won't change the number of ingredients consumed or the displayed information. This can be used to generate arbitrarily large amounts of any product. (This effect can be used to correct the previous issue if you want to by clicking one extra time, but only on jobs where you're maxing out the job count.)
-While I haven't tested this on every food crafting machine, I know it happens with the Drying Rack, Bean Roaster, and Packaging Machine. I suspect it happens with every food crafting machine, but again, I haven't checked.
