The last 2 animals I need are the Merino Sheep & Brown Alpaca.
I haven't seen either in the store after an entire season of checking, and I for sure have all the animals unlocked.

that might be a bug. cause merino was the original default but got switched to southdown as the default in patch 2.

What you do is you play about 3 days, then log out to the main menu and come back in USING THE LOAD OPTION.

That'll help make the stock change over.

Yep, you unlock by leveling your ranch skill and submitting to skill tree. You can hover over the skills and see what awaits you.

I unlocked that... two seasons ago or so. I'm in winter now and I think I unlocked 'all goats' and 'all cows' in spring, but I've never seen any other versions at Gabe's.

No, not every day. But I've been there a few times and I've seen all the other variants, just never other variants of goats and cows, so I assumed it was a bug or a leftover in the skill tree. That you have 'All Cows' and 'All Goats' in there, but there's only one variant. But now I've been stuck in the skill tree for ages because I'm missing Rich Goat Milk, and I thought maybe my goat has to love me more to give that milk. But she's maxed out now, and I saw that my brown sheep gives different milk than my white one - that's how I came up with the idea that maybe it's the same with the goats.

So I assume it's some kind of bug that they're not appearing for me. I'll go there every day for the next few days, but I have my doubts as to whether they'll appear.

It took forever for black chickens to appear after I unlocked them. They appeared once, didn't buy it and the next day they were gone and did not appear until next season.

I spoke to a friend of mine about it today and she said the only time she really sees the other animals that aren't standard is Monday. I've played for two days now and it was just Monday - and all the animals I unlocked are actually there.

So it seems to be a bug where Gabe's catalog is filled on Mondays and then it resets over the week or something like that. But yes, buying animals other than the standard animals seems to be only possible on Mondays at the moment.

I have to say personally, I don't like the rotating system at any of the merchants and I don't really understand the decision to do so. (It is also not realistic because a store always tries to have a fixed range, with (seasonal) offers here and there. Who would go to a supermarket or a hardware store where they never know whether they will have what they need?) There's no real upside as a player. You're just frustrated when you're looking for something that isn't there, plus the system doesn't work properly, which makes it doubly annoying. So if they could get rid of that or there would be a mod for it that would be really nice.

Somebody had suggested a crop name alongside the water icon, I was worried about visual clutter but I have a pretty good idea for how to impleent it now. If you stand by a crop for a few seconds then it'll pop up, kind of like extra info bubbles that show up in some games after a delay 🙂

I've been collecting all the Battle Gear stuff (Ofudas, Omikujis, etc) and storing them because I'm a hoarder with a problem....(there's literally almost 200 stocked up at this point)

So my question is: If I were willing to/able to collect all of them in the game, take a picture of each one (showing all the info on each) and make a scrapbook of all of them (organized like they are in the pic, by element type, stars, rarity, etc)....would anyone else be willing to take all that info and put it into the Wiki?

It looks like there isn't a page for combat on the Wiki yet, but if someone is willing to take all the pics and put them in a graph (like the Fish page) I'd be happy to try and collect them all and organize the pix of them!

i wouldnt suggest destroying your tent till you have a backup sleeping situation. There is a bug that can pause your time which would make you unable to sleep if you dont have a bed. but yes if you have a bed you can do that!

So I grew a tea plant to get tea stalks so I could make Kukicha Tea Leaves for the skill tree, but I harvested this from the tea plant and it doesn’t work for the tea leaves recipe…what the heck lol

The ONLY reason I know is because of CC in The Sims 4. Someone made it so that you can harvest tea leaves and then the stage at which you grab them when they're drying determines the kind of tea leaf you'll get.

in the recent patch it was changed so that you unlock the brown sheep by default, then unlock the white sheep through the skill tree. If you had already unlocked the skill tree perk pre update that could have caused it to not give you the white sheep. So they will need to add a patch that will check for that kind of thing. I hope that makes sense XD

but if you havent done the skill tree thing yet it should show up after you unlock it (or a few days after you do, gabe takes some time to get it in stock)

yeah but you dont get the quest to get them till ||year two, and i think when you buy the second farm|| and the quest doesnt complete once you buy one. But that is the last objective of that quest, so it wont lock you out of anyting if it says its not completed 🙂

Last time I counted, I harvested honey on summer 24 and didn't get honey again until fall 3. I guess that means it takes either 7 or 8 days for a hive to produce. So if you plan strategically, either when you build a hive or when you harvest from one, you could get 1 honey per day that way I imagine.

You could also just put 1 hive down each day until they start producing 1 a day. I think that's the easiest option than above.

Hello, so I did the recycle iron thing on the first day and got my axe second day, since it wasn't my first playthrough, I rushed to get all the mats needed for the teahouse just after I got the pickaxe, since I already had an axe, I didn't bother asking for one and forgot it was part of the main quests, now I have the tea house built and went back to my journal and saw the mission for the axe, so I thought I was stuck at first but after getting a second axe, the mission progressed and now its asking me to build the tea house but its already built but not registering. I went to the next day and restarted the game in general to have it load again but I'm still stuck with that mission and I can't move forward.

I'm sorry to say that there's not much we can do about it, sadly. The mission was never meant to be jumped over like that. We can take a look at how the quests are linked and fulfilled, and we do want to add options to skip the questline completely for people who are playing for the second or third time, but for now you have to follow the quests in order.
Remember, SunnySide isn't for speed running, it's about slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying yourself.

I googled || adzuki beans. Makes me guess there might be a few ways to get it. If it’s not an option in the drying rack, it may also be water and the cutting board. Since google said they need to be dried or soaked. || part of what google had to say || When seed pods are mature and relatively dry, collect and winnow. Dry the little red beans completely before storing in a glass jar.

Adzuki beans need not be soaked overnight unless they are extraordinarily old. Soak seeds just an hour or so, as you would lentils, then sprout, or boil and rinse and prepare per your recipe.||

honestly, i was the same. but the best way to find them is to go to those hotspots, with the drone/critter cam active, and just move around and take photos. if you're in the right spots, they'll start to spawn the longer you're in the area, from my experience

For now, yeah, you have to choose one of the presets. The text boxes were originally set so you could edit them, but it got a bit messed up when controller support was added, and adding the ability back is a bit complicated. It's on the list though!

Collision is HEAVY to calculate. If we add it to plants, we will have to limit how many plants you can have on the farm with max probably being somewhere around 50.

We had collision in the beginning, but it's not scalable.

Look at it this way: They look like trees, but they're entirely different objects. In fact, there are 5 different "types" of tree across the map. Every tree you see out in the world has anywhere from 3 - 4 different variations, and they're all placed through Unreal's Foliage system. The trees on your farm don't use foliage, so they operate entirely off of blueprints. Loading, saving, progression, the entire thing is custom. It may look like a tree, but it's not a "tree" in the same way the rest of the trees in the world are.

The tree on the left is a "world tree" the tree on the right.. well it isn't even a tree until I run the game.

and i assume foliage is highly optimized and those optimizations cannot be used on custom meshs... while foliage is not able to interact in the way that normal objects do huh? like for example you'd not be able to water it. because you can't attach custom triggers and events on them?

But even more so, the item in game isn't actually a "tree". It's more like... a projection. The actual item you're modifying is the plot itself.

And the plot, when you plant a seed, gets edited to project different plants.

HI HI!!! No not binges lol. FF14 introduced a Capybara mount and I was waiting/helping spawn the big boss to get the items needed. ok.. not a big deal, but baffling... I've had these rabbits for about a year (in game time), and they are always hungry and thirsty. They have plenty of food and water that always says Full when I try to fill them. I do still get wool from them, and all that good stuff, but they're never happy, and always hungry and thirsty. (and the feeders/waterers never empty)

my chickens and ducks have never eaten either, but at least they're happy 😛

Most likely the feeders are too close to the fence, try lining them up directly down the center with a good aboumt of space between them.

There's somethin weird going on with my Quail homes. I use 2 small ones for them (the medium one was too hard to get in position to change the bedding) and I've never had to change their bedding but also they have given me eggs like once in the 2 seasons i've had them lol

||I've seen people say you get goji berries and Wasabi through an elevator at the end of the second cave, but I've done mostly all the cave quests (down to the end of the lava cave) and never noticed any elevator, only had sparky ask if I want to go down to the next cave. i think skill itself is working, but item required is bugged, you can use my mod to unlock it (https://discord.com/channels/676857688998674471/1256580658554470500) you can uninstall if after you unlock a skill if you dont want entire tree to be sticks, game will remember unlocked skills only requirements will change back

Did you build animal beds inside the barn? You need to assign them sleeping spots. To do that, they need animal beds. You can build them while on your farm.

In other words, if I plant seeds on the 28th, will they survive and grow a day earlier than if I planted them on the 1st?

so if you want to plan it at the end of the season, it needs to be able to at least GROW in that season

but also you have to watch the amount of days until it harvests

if you can't harvest it in that season its growing in, and you plant it too early and it harvests before the next season, it just grows to full harvest stage but dies instead of getting to harvest

having trouble typing today apparently, as well as using the brain

so hopefully that makes sense

so if something would die in the winter, you can't grow on the 28th for an early spring

but if it can grow in the winter it just grows like normal

like say it takes 9 days to grow, you don't want it to have 9 days to grow in winter because once it hits harvest stage if its winter it will just die, even if its the day before spring

which is why i gave up on non-tree crops immediately 🙃

math is hard so i usually give them a couple extra days to be safe (like growing it 5 days before spring when it takes 9 days like we're talking about in this situation)
