Nope, the quest completes when you talk to everybody. I'd suggest talking to everyone you can interact with at your next Farmer's Market. All citizens show up there. Some work behind counters though.

Because the straight grid doesn't line up with the edges on the right. So the left side of my field is straight, but if I line up the right side to the plantable area it's all steppy.

I would've preferred a perfectly square field for planting and then a second area for the house since it doesn't have to obey the grid like digging planting squares does. But the grid doesn't line up with any of the first housing plot.

This upper section kind of works because the diagonal mostly fits in, but I would've preferred straight up and down rows. I get why that's not as possible since this grid is connected to the other two grids, but yeah.

I did an entirely different approach to my farm design embracing the curvature of the field. It sacrifices lots of plot surface area but since the game rewards you quite a bit for a few plots of the same crop I don't mind it since it's hard to store lots of items with plastic tubs lol.

But it also really lets me design the layout nicely and make everything feel natural and not "systematic" if that makes sense.

Some crops require the Nata specifically to harvest, including grains and rice

Make sure you have the bag of rice item from the mill or grocery store and not just raw rice fresh from harvest. Place it in the rice cooker with an appropriate amount of water based on what recipe you're following, click the little play button in the middle of the circle where you have the ingredients, and then you have to move down and click the start button on the rice cooker itself.

If clicking the "play" button results in the ingredient circle flashing red a few times, that means your recipe isn't valid, you might be using the wrong item or the wrong quantity of items

If you're having trouble obtaining the water item, equip the bucket and interact with your watering hose.

Grilled Whole Fish is actually just a fish and salt as the recipe, but if you make it into filets then yes, you need to use a full and valid recipe, and "1x fish fillet, 1x salt" is not a valid recipe

I don't believe you can store buildings in the cache, but you can use the select tool to move them around, so if you're not using your full farm space, you can stick them in an unused corner instead of destroying them if you'll want them again later

Shiitake mushrooms are on the stumps near your farm and in the forest west of Gabe's ranch.

Wakame is one of the types of seaweed, if you walk along the beach south of the Promenade you should see green and brown clumps in the shallow water in spots, one of those is Wakame

Please ensure you are following these steps:

1. it's a Sunday where the Farmer's Market is actually happening
2. You go to the stall with a red box and some empty shelves in the corner (I don't have a screenshot of the stall itself but here's one of my character standing in it during the cutscene)
3. interact with the red box at that stall
4. Place at least one item into the storage
5. Start selling items for the day, you should get a cutscene like the one in my screenshot

After that the quest should clear. If you have done all of that and the quest is not clearing, please report it. If you are having trouble with any of these steps, please provide more detail.

You will not trigger any cutscenes or quest progression simply by going to the area or by interacting with the other shops at the market

Scratch what I said before, the bike rack and default vehicle shed are outside of your buildable area so you can't grab them to reposition or anything. It's just a decorative marker for where your bike defaults in the morning

And having to click them one at a time is a chore.

Stacks only going to 100 was also a bit irritating on that front. I understand it for bigger items, but nails could really stand to stack to 1000 or something.

For some reason the blueprint for placing cutting boards of various sizes need to be purchased from the woodworks, and the larger ones may be gated by the Architect skill

once you have the blueprint you place the cutting board with the drone, like with the camping stove or rice cooker, and then you can place the knife as a cooking implement on the cutting board

I think if the racoons can get to the edge of the plot, they can get to your crops, make sure there's at least a small gap between the fence and your plots. In build mode you should be able to turn on a grid to help align things

As for build materials, I've heard that there are some people trying to set up a wiki but I'm not sure if they've documented that yet. Your best bet is to open the drone, go to build mode, and screenshot or otherwise take note of what materials are necessary for the decorations you want

I bought the recipes for some of the farming hutches before I got Gabe's quest. If you raise your building fast enough to unlock additional recipes in the skill tree you get stuff that's quest related.

Sometimes you can't build it till you get the relevant quest, but defo have recipes.

The starting shed will shelter a bed, but it's a bit buggy at the moment. Shelter status doesn't change immediately upon placement of the item I've found, when i first moved my dog bed from out on the ground to inside the shed it still showed unsheltered, but after sleeping it showed sheltered. Dunno if that helps but there it is 😄

While you're playing there should be a \RainyGames\SunnySide\Temp folder. Any photos you take are immediately saved there, and then when you save the game the temp directory contents are saved to one of the save files for your character. So if you want to snap something and share it with people immediately, just look in the Temp folder.

Its all 111 crops (or will be once my farming skill gets to master) listed by the season you can plant+harvest them in.

Basically its so you can get a quick look at each list at the beginning of the season to see all crops that will be fine to grow during that season (ie won't wilt)

Also each season's list is organized to show if they are a Perennial or not, what size plot they need, and if they're a Tree.

Hope this helps anyone else like me that is overwhelmed and just wants to see a list of seeds I can pick from to order every season 😅

The tea house does work for dog bed shelter, but I had to restart the prior day about half a dozen times before it would read properly, allow me to adopt the dog, and actually remain selectable by the drone the next day. The pet items in general get really buggy and stop functioning and being selectable randomly.

The adoption screen itself only worked once I switched from controller to kb+m, if that is something that could be affecting you

Are there really no better storage options slot-wise than the plastic boxes? I just burned half a night of mining iron on a locker three times the size of my character and it has the same number of slots as the cardboard box.

yes and you can plant peppermint (from the seed app on your phone) and once harvested you can put them in the drying rack to level that up. Don't do what I did and try to do more than 1 at a time bc it takes forever and the XP is the same...lol

Is there a way to see my character's info? Specifically, I forgot what exact gender range I chose for my character and I'm wondering if I can view that anywhere.
