Cause looks like a hostile mob imo
And in MC franchise its already confirmed that golem can be evil too (Redstone Monstrosity and Tempest Golem)

I was thinking somewhere in its lore it tricked its followers to make a body (basically the gold parts) to possess, later tricking them and being evil instead of helping out.

then some powerful guy or smth would seal it away

More things that I would like to add that would be pretty cool:

-sheriff villager

-Palm trees and new wooden blocks+leaves

-cactus flowers

-desert critters (lizards, birds, snakes, boars)

-a hostile mob themed around mirages

-mob varients

I think that might've been a big problem when moving to the overworld, thats when the genie granted them a resistance/invincibility to zombification

maybe thats why they start to worship and protect the genie golem

the big ears were also made for the heat of the desert, to let some of the heat out of their ears like fennec foxes (but I also just thought they looked cute 👍 )

kind of??? Its some type powerful being that helped out the piglidens. The piglidens probably named or smth after they built the body to possess it

kinda of like how in real life ppl just name things, so they probably called it a genie though it may or may not be

Sarlacc but smaller, think like a mini version, it will sit in area and anything that comes close will slowly sink, it will then move the sand apart and show itself.

It cannot be killed via a normal strategy, you must throw TNT, water (any kind) or a plant into its mouth,(no cactus) it will either die or if it's green, vomit

it ifs green it will spread chunks of plants throughout the sand near it.

If it's killed you can get a "skarlakk stomach" which when crafted into a "dune pouch" can break food down into a fine paste, which gives slightly less food points but you eat it instantly.

Just a fun thought, got bored.
