Friend on xbox can't join games or share saves

We had me host for a bit on both G and then my friend was on PC Steam and I was able to join

I'm on PC game pass and everything seems fine, but his network seems messed up. Getting that error trying to join games and we've progressed on an old save that he can't share with others to let me host

Mine did this and I noticed the title page showed my steam id and not my Xbox gamer tag. I had to hit 'cross play' and sign back in to Xbox. That fixed it for me.

On my account I am playing on a gaming pc and my husbands playing on the tv we both love the game but he has not been able to play on my game for several months and I contacted everyone I could think of to help with this issue going on if anyone has any tips that think it will help please contact me thank you

I got the same isssue with the Steam deck. I can’t enable the crossplay (the setting doesn’t appear). My Microsoft username still appear on the top right corner… Can’t play with my girlfriend who launch it on PC with the Xbox version (she also can’t enable the crossplay but she can log in to her xbox account)
Although it works perfectly on the steam PC version (possibility to enable crossplay)
To resume : all the 3 have the same version (Toxic Tangle update)

• Steamdeck doesn’t work
• Xbox PC doesn’t work

on xbox, there doesn't seem to be a crossplay sign in. There's a "Change Profile" instead, so he tried that but it didn't help.

This is the response I got: Check privacy settings on Xbox.com
Sign in at Xbox.com with the Microsoft account used on Xbox.
Select Profile under My Xbox.
Choose Privacy settings or Online safety.
Select the account you want to manage.
Review and update the privacy options, then save changes on each tab.

My friend's settings already matched these, so still nothing has helped.

1. the Xbox-App and Gaming Sevice on Microsoft Store should be up to date on Windows.
2. Activate "Crossplay" in Grounded 2 (see your Crossplay Status on Main Menu bottom right and click F1, if "Crossplay aktivieren" or whatever is shown on english client. It needs to be show "Crossplay deaktivieren" or whatever is shown on english client.

your crossplay status is also shown in options, first tab on the bottom.

By activating Crossplay you need to login to your Xbox-Account on the PC. So Xbox Account is a "must have", i think.

I think I had a similar issue a while back on my Xbox.

I took the shared game and converted it into a single player.

Then I deleted all the shared game saves.

Then converted the single player game back into a shared file and it seemed to fix it for us.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently experiencing an issue on Grounded 2 and I’m trying to see if anyone else has the same problem.

When I try to invite friends, I get the following error:
“Unable to access Xbox Network friends list. You are not connected to Xbox Network, or the connection could not be established.”

The thing is:
• I am properly connected to Xbox Network
• My internet is working fine
• My NAT is open
• Everything works normally on other games

Because of this, I can’t access my friends list or invite anyone, neither even share the world

Has anyone encountered this issue or found a fix?
