Grasshoppers would be an ok creature to see but uh they would be a neutral creature as they are herbavores.

#

They will never eat a live creature but they will not avoid eating dead things.

I think it would be a Tier IV creature, cuz its not that big?

rough pecan
#

I would like a grasshopper buggy as the 'flying' one.

The ability to fly would be cool but only stay airborne for a short time

rough pecan
#

Yeah like on a grasshopper lol jump, fly, glide down.

#

More of a flutter down really.

low minnow
#

Yeah, I like the Bee for the air support idea

rough pecan
#

I can see that. I guess I don't place much value in it. I use fighter armor so I just have to hit once or twice. Then they target me. Perfect Block, they are grounded.

low minnow
#

I use fighter as well, so I know exactly what you mean

rough pecan
#

Nice. I often don't even have my buggy with me. I just use it for long distance travel or building.

low minnow
#

Yeah same, but a lot of people want a flying buggy, and in my opinion a Bee is the most balanced for it

rough pecan
#

I think it is a grasshopper. But this is about a grasshopper boss, so I'll stop hijacking the thread....

low minnow
#

Yeah, probs for the best

# rough pecan What are these ideas for attacks?

One was a leaping attack (similar to the wolf spider’s), one was just a bite, and the other was a stun attack when it rubbed its legs together (which is probably what made my friend say to make it a boss)

rough pecan
#

Oh so like the Weaver roar but it gives stun. That makes sense. It could summon adds too.

@sleek echo @trail nest @worldly flame the three of you have created separate suggestions for grasshoppers, could you communicate with one another to make one suggestion you can all agree on and edit the highest existing suggestion to incorporate your collective idea

worldly flame
#

I guess

#

Idk if they are still in here though

low minnow
#

I just think it'd be better than having three of the same suggestion

Grasshoppers are herbivores and they have a defense mechanism where they spit out a black paste, but crickets would be harmless though

low minnow
#

There are quite a few crickets that primarily eat meat

#

E.g. the bulldog cricket

#

That's only really if all of them go trending

urban spade
#

From what I have been told they do look at forms and even submitted, trending just increases the chances of something being taken seriously.

low minnow
#

I did read that and am aware of it, but I think getting one trending is more efficient than having a few of the same suggestions. If nothing else, upvote the other suggestions as well

urban spade
#

yes one on trending is better then 10 of the same idea with 3 people upvoting each.

Just did some reading, grasshoppers are harmless, they don't attack their predators, they try to make themselves look big with the patterns on their wings, flee by jumping away or regurgitate a foul-tasting or toxic chemical

rough pecan

I still think a goo spewing grasshopper is the ideal 'flying' buggy.

low minnow
#

Crickets are confirmed, I feel like they would be better

rough pecan
#

So the grasshopper has an acidic goo spray and a stunning wing flash. They look cooler than a cricket too.

low minnow
#

They're also larger in most cases

rough pecan
#

Yeah, which is another reason I think they are better.

versed girder
#

which wouldnt be fun honestly

rough pecan
#

Nah it is acidic, being stomach acid. It could totally deal damage.

versed girder
rough pecan
#

Yeah, I looked it up. It is mostly stomach acid.

Yeah ziplines are nice. The fast travel from ranger station to ranger station is helpful.

quiet bay

Or stop predators from hunting him down

rough pecan
#

Yeah, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be used as a weapon in game.
