ADD SUB-ARCHETYPES/MAKE SUB-ARCHETYPES OFFICIAL
I see many people asking for new archetypes such as "reaper" "shielder" "bard" and
"summoner" and some of these archetypes are essentially sub-archetypes of existing classes.
Such as reaper being the scythe wielder, which makes it the AoE specialized fighter and the shielder is like the tank specialized fighter. We had this in grounded 1 already, with mage and ranged essentially being the same archetype, just slightly different. We could have a different ranged sub-archetype that focuses on throwing spears, hatchets, daggers and such.
And maybe a mage archetype that can use magic from something other than staves? The point is there's no need for making specialized armor for some of these archetypes because they won't be much different, they'll be more or less the same and is more likely to happen compared to adding several new archetypes to grounded, as grounded as a game doesn't and likely won't work as well as baldurs gate when it comes to such varied archetypes. And it’ll put a pretty large strain on the devs so Sub-archetypes have a better chance of happening than full on brand new archetypes.

The Mage, Ranger and Rogue are all well defined and simplistic. The Fighter however does have this sub-archetype due to how its weapons are split between 3 weapon types (slash, poke, blunt) along with needing to choose between playing 1 hand or 2 hand.
They should consider splitting the Fighter into 1 handed or 2 handed, as a Warrior or Berserker. Then adjust some of the mutations associated with weapon types to instead be for number of hands used. 1 Handed, 2 Handed, Dual Wield, Bows/Crossbows, Staffs. Use the damage type only as a reference for what enemies are weak to.
That would allow Javelineer to apply to all 1 hand weapons, motivating you to throw more than a spear (Thor build). Blademaster could be Stami-Master and work with all 1 handed weapons. Let Smasher go to 2 handed weapons, anything big you hit with makes sense that it could build more stun.
Please tell me you have a suggestion I can vote on for this. I was drafting something to justify axes in the current system but then got hung up on how there are 3 categories split across 1H and 2H where dual weapons get their own category, which is kinda weird
