Red boxes after moving from slides to design?

I moved some slides over from Figma slides into a design space but now they have these red boxes over them. Is there a way to remove that?

The red overlay is likely caused by a fill or rectangle layer sitting on top of your content it probably came along when you moved the slides over from Figma Slides into the design space.
Quick question: are the red boxes appearing as a separate layer in your layers panel, or does it seem baked into the frame itself?

Baked in! The weird part is I designed them in design then pasted them into slides, then back again for some later iterations

Ah that makes total sense actually! When you go Slides → design → Slides → design again, Slides sneaks its own background fill onto the frame and it ends up baked in instead of being a proper layer you can just delete.
Try clicking the frame itself and checking the Fill section on the right panel there's probably a dark red fill sitting there. Just remove it and you should be good.

The issue wasnt Fill but it was related (and right under Fill) as a Layout Guide option
