New to figma

I recently started using figma and I have a few questions.
So, there's screen options ( the "place" where you select the screen size). I've played with different screen sizes for a bit and I don't get how it affects the design.
Is every screen size suited to a particular device? And what's the use of it?
Also,tips and advice,as well as videos or links would be appreciated.

Do you mean as in frames? They are mostly used for prototype to try out animations or that’s what i use them for
