I am trying to play around with the "X" animation in Figma that rotates non-stop. The problem I'm facing is whenever I am done with variants and prototyping and click the preview the X is static. I also tried the rectangles. same issue- Kindly help.

Hey @iron coral ! So I made it and it works for me, and i have a guess why id doesnt work for you.

Prototype: https://www.figma.com/proto/EO22pg1LExM1OcVl7CzjQm/Untitled?page-id=0%3A1&type=design&node-id=1-44&viewport=632%2C598%2C1.8&scaling=min-zoom&mode=design

The reason why it might not work for you:
I think for smart animate to work, it has to be a change within the frame. Currently (I think) you are rotating the x or the rectangle by rotating the outer frame itself. Smart animate i think jsut works on the things within it.

How I solved this issue:
I put the the x in a farme and that frame is in the "main frame" that has the smart animation connection on. The inner frame is what I am rotating

Or if not, what do you mean by rotating infinitely?

oh so you mean to go around 360?

just like a loading animation you can say

I just updated mine if you check it rotates 360

#

So i think with yours it thinks that it needs to go til -90 and then it just goes back to 0 when in reality you want it to go to -360 technically

@iron coral you also want the last interaction just be instantly going back to the default state (you dont want that to take 300ms since they are the same)
