As requested, here's a link to my Satya deck:
https://archidekt.com/decks/8249447/combat_combo

I built it as a aggro deck with a primary wincon of infinite combat steps. I think the main takeaway from my build would be how I handle the energy package. I definitely do have an energy subtheme to the deck, but every individual energy card is good on its own. They do become stronger when used together, but I don't play anything that relies on other energy cards to function.

I will let you know, though, that I never built this deck in paper. I played it online a fair bit, but ended up retiring it eventually. So I haven't worked out all the kinks nor have I tried updating it at all since MH3.

I personally like to think that infinite combat is much more fair than a normal combo strategy, since it can ususally be shut down just by having blockers, but if you want to build the deck without that its very easy to do so

#

If your starting point is the precon, the first thing I would recommend doing is cut all of the vehicles. I do not know why they were included with the deck, because they are very much a nonbo with your commander

i know my first grab is [[Guide of Souls]]

i could get smothering tithe and rhystic study 😂😂😂

@hazy void @raw pilot

got those

#

I was gonna suggest checking out the Fallout precon too, looks like you did already

#

Tbh smashing those two precons + the red and blue cards from the DFT precon together gets you a really good energy deck

hazy void
#

See, that's the exact opposite of what I would recommend doing. Satya does not work well with artifacts, and really wants energy to be a subtheme rather than part of the forefront strategy.

#

If you're going to "smash the two precons" then I think Madison Li makes more sense as the commander

Not necessarily just “whatever combination you want”, but, like, look at the three lists and pick out what works

hazy prairie
#

and honestly if the cards dont work it was only 10 bucks to get them and I can take em out and test different ones

raw pilot
#

Yeah. The main thing being that 99% of your good energy cards for commander are going to come from those three precons + MH3

In my version of the deck, I run exactly 2 cards from the fallout precon, Shaun and Electrosiphon. I looked through the whole thing, and came to the conclusion that they are just extremely different strategies, despite being the same colors and using energy. One if hyper focused on energy and artifacts while the other is more about creature copy tokens with a small energy subtheme

Shaun is so busted generally

I ran him in a Kefka deck and it was such a nasty combination

Anthems are also very good, since copying them makes everything stronger. The precon comes with Angel of Invention, but [[Voltstorm Angel]] is another good example

oh im grabbing all 3 of those

#

those are sick

hazy void

remember, these are just examples of a whole category of cards. Use scryfall to find more and tailor it to what you want the deck to do. Another example is ETB-Removal like [[Witch Enchanter]]

and its a multifaced cars

card

hazy void

yep, but there are similar cards that aren't MDFCs but cost less.

If you’re on a budget, you don’t need Terror of the Peaks. It’s good, but it’s power to cost ratio isn’t worth it

Like I said, I'm mostly just pointing out the categories of cards that you should be looking into, rather than giving you specific ones. You should go onto scryfall and use the text from these cards to find more so that you can tailor your deck for your playstyle and add redundancy so you can always draw into what you need

this was the satya deck I built, it was ok, but too inconsistent https://archidekt.com/decks/17327000/satya

Satya, Aetherflux Genius - Commander deck

(1) Commander • (1) Artifact • (2) Blink • (2) Bounce • (1) Copy • (3) Counters • (13) Draw • (4) Finisher • (37) Land • (1) Lifegain • (2) Protection • (1) Pump • (10) Ramp • (2) Recursion • (15) Removal • (5) Tokens

#

its extremely budget

I mean the deck I built goes off, but it needs a bit more work to hit consistently, there are a few infinite combos in there, but it needed more card draw mostly

#

itll still give you some ideas of things you can add, as you see that deck is classed as a bracket 4

#

but it cant live in b4, with the consistency issues, it either dominates or loses horribly

hazy prairie
#

yeah and im trying to make a deck that isnt combo

its mean 😂
