Legendary Creature — God
Menace
Whenever an opponent sacrifices a nontoken permanent or discards a permanent card, you may put that card from a graveyard onto the battlefield under your control.
Fear is her one true companion.

Tergrid's Lantern

Legendary Artifact
: Target player loses 3 life unless they sacrifice a nonland permanent of their choice or discard a card.

: Untap Tergrid's Lantern.
When Tergrid was a child, her shadow tried to kill her. Only her lantern keeps it at bay.
That depends on power/salt level you’re looking for, although K’rrik is probably the most reasonable option
I cant build anything less than mid-3 and even then I typically like very tuned deck
Tergrid might be what you want then cause at least people can pretend to respond to it unlike an early game Braids
So you are thinking braids is too oppressive?
An early game braids shuts the game down, so yeah
Again personally I’d go with K’rrik cause they seem the least oppressive but that’s just what I’d do
Isn't making all of your spells and abilities cost less pretty oppressive?
Far less oppressive than being forced to sacrifice lands because your opponent got a T2 Braids out
Hell T1 is possible with the right opener
This popped up as a video I should watch... maybe its a sign
I haven’t watched it so I can’t speak to what it’s actually saying
But both Braids and Tergrid will easily lead to unfun board states for at least 3 people
If I may, [[Braids, Arisen Nightmare]] is a lot of fun
Legendary Creature — Nightmare
At the beginning of your end step, you may sacrifice an artifact, creature, enchantment, land, or planeswalker. If you do, each opponent may sacrifice a permanent of their choice that shares a card type with it. For each opponent who doesn't, that player loses 2 life and you draw a card.
