What bracket would you say this is?
On the topic of card evaluation you brought up in the other channel, this video's a good one going over some of the differences in edh
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hxm9SfceZwU
What qualities should you look for when adding cards to your commander deck? We've got the answers, all in one video! Come hang out with us as we discuss the types of things that make up a good commander card!
Support NN commander GAMEPLAY for a limited time on Kickstarter:

I think the list looks alright, it reads a bit like a standard deck being converted to commander. Instead of Putrefy, I'd maybe suggest leaning into Anguished Unmaking, Swords to Plowshares, Casualties of War, or Assassin's Trophy (depending which fits your removal needs)
The other thing I'm noticing is that Blightbelly Rat is alright, but I'd probably prefer these because they're a bit harder to remove and a 1/1 is a little weak for swinging in with
I think maybe [[Kinzu of the Bleak Coven]] would be some recursion you can use
[[Anguished Unmaking]]
Think the proliferate on death isn't worth it?
Thanks I'll watch it
I've added in casualties of war and removed putrify
This i definitely want. Now to figure out what to drop
Unless you're running it as an "aristocrats" card, no. Proliferating once and just being a 1/1 isn't quite good enough
Cool
But if you use Chthonian Nightmare and can keep looping it, it's fantastic
[[Chthonian Nightmare]]
Okay, then I highly recommend Kinzu + Blightbelly + Cthonian Nightmare. Do you see why those 3?
So now I need to cut 2 cards in order to fit Chthonian Nightmare and Kinzu
Yes because you can repeatedly bring it back and sac it to trigger proliferate
And i think kinzu is for extra life after nightmare runs out of charges and redundancy?
Not sure if exile complicates it
The exile does complicate it
I still do recommed Kinzu, but see if you can spot something on scryfall that can make a token when your rat dies to finish the combo
Yeah! You got it. If you have a way to make a creature when the rat dies, Chthonian Nightmare lets you combo proliferate
[[Pawn of Ulamog]] maybe?
I could put [[necrogen communion]] on it lol
Yeah, I think you're getting a good sense of card evaluation. Necrogen Communion is strongest on your big creatures with enters-the-battlefield triggers
I have [[dross scorpion]] + [[throne of geth]] + [[venser, corpse puppet]]
Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Zombie Wizard
Lifelink, toxic 1
Whenever you proliferate, choose one —
• If you don't control a creature named The Hollow Sentinel, create The Hollow Sentinel, a legendary 3/3 colorless Phyrexian Golem artifact creature token.
• Target artifact creature you control gains flying and lifelink until end of turn.
1/3
I think that is pretty nasty
Only issue is each part is totally reliant on the others to be useful
I think
Throne is useful independently actually - i have 6 artifacts
And having dross would let me burn them for deperation proliferated i suppose
Idk
[[Grimoir Of The Dead]] been mentioned at all? I didn't back read super far but if you are proliferating and like graveyards then perhaps.
Legendary Artifact
,
, Discard a card: Put a study counter on Grimoire of the Dead.
, Remove three study counters from Grimoire of the Dead and sacrifice it: Put all creature cards from all graveyards onto the battlefield under your control. They're black Zombies in addition to their other colors and types.
Ooo
Not got all that much playing in my graveyard other than that aforementioned combo in this deck
Especially since i have kinzu exiling many
But i like the card for my friend's graveyard deck so I'll pass that along 😄
If that friend happens to be a zombie tribal. [[rooftop storm]] is fun
He'll be very happy to see that
Not sure if he's committing to tribal but he does love his zombies
Makes simple infinite with [[gravecrawler]] [diregraft captain]] and [[Grimgrin, Corpse-Born]] (the commander in my case)
And many many other combos thanks to , [[Havengul Lich]]
@fickle path just realised i can use [[Chthonian Nightmare]] with [[Ichor Rats]]
Options.. options...
Thanks
I'm sure I'll live to regret passing along these suggestions xD
Its fine, he will simply [[traumatize]] himself into a wincon. Let it happen.
Lol I'm giving myself poison counters too
Its milling himself not you. In the event that havengul and rooftop are with grimgrin
Ooohhhh
I'm dumb
How do you defend your graveyard from exile?
I have a casual vampire aristocrats deck and i live in fear of mass exile white cards...
[[Angel of Finality]]
I think like to add [[Kinzu of the Bleak Coven]] and [[Chthonian Nightmare]] to my deck
Can you help me figure out what to cut?
As long as you proliferate once or twice, opponents will have more
Yeah i just found it funny that i hadn't noticed
But its cool that Chthonian Nightmare works with so many cards
Its awesome
No card found for “virindian corruptor”
@fickle path I can use it with [[Viridian Corrupter]] too
Creature — Phyrexian Elf Shaman
Infect (This creature deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters and to players in the form of poison counters.)
When Viridian Corrupter enters, destroy target artifact.
2/2
Also synergises with [[metastatic evangel]]
I think I might drop [[necrogen rotpriest]] i don't have much toxic
Creature — Phyrexian Zombie Cleric
Toxic 2 (Players dealt combat damage by this creature also get two poison counters.)
Whenever a creature you control with toxic deals combat damage to a player, that player gets an additional poison counter.

: Target creature you control with toxic gains deathtouch until end of turn.
1/5
Actually that's bullshit i can potentially get a lot of toxic tokens, but my nontoken toxic is usually on creatures i might want to keep on the defensive
What do you all think?
Worth keeping ol'rotpriest around to stink it up another day?
[[Deepglow Skate]] considering this for the cuttingroom
Then again i can use it to double -1 -1 counters and plainswalker counters so there is a use
I think I'll sleep on it. But I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts
Dropped [[plague stinger]] for [[Chthonian Nightmare]]
Someone suggested to me swapping out some trilands for vivid lands like [[vivid grove]], depletion lands like [[peat bog]] and also [[gemstone mine]]
What do you all think?
[[DISTORTION STRIKE]]
[[Heartless Hidetsugu]]
[[Angel's grace]]
Instant
Split second (As long as this spell is on the stack, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.)
You can't lose the game this turn and your opponents can't win the game this turn. Until end of turn, damage that would reduce your life total to less than 1 reduces it to 1 instead.
[[Glacial charm]]
Land
Cumulative upkeep—Pay 2 life. (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)
When this land enters, sacrifice a land.
Creatures you control can't attack.
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to you.
[[Nexus of Fate]]
