Could do like Uncle Istvan
He's a retired cartographer
haha
[[daughter of autumn]]
Legendary Creature — Avatar
: The next 1 damage that would be dealt to target white creature this turn is dealt to Daughter of Autumn instead.
"Those who say that Serra is dead have never met the Autumn Willow's daughters. They are as kind and as generous as Serra would wish us to be." —Gulsen, Abbey Matron
2/4
[[autumn willow]]
Legendary Creature — Avatar
Shroud (This creature can't be the target of spells or abilities.)
: Until end of turn, Autumn Willow can be the target of spells and abilities controlled by target player as though it didn't have shroud.
"We must shake her limbs and rattle her brains." —Grandmother Sengir
4/4
[[ragnar]] LMFAO
[[C.A.M.P]]
Artifact — Fortification
Whenever fortified land is tapped for mana, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. If that creature shares a color with the mana that land produced, create a Junk token. (It's an artifact with "
, Sacrifice this token: Exile the top card of your library. You may play that card this turn. Activate only as a sorcery.")
Fortify
(
: Attach to target land you control. Fortify only as a sorcery.)
I would lose taxi driver
If I went with ragnar
I have camp and a million other fallout cards in my considering
I didnt want thtem to take over
Ah ok
I do have two slots open right now, could be camp
I cut all the legendary creatures
[[angus mackenzie]]
lol, it's a miracle
[[taxi driver]]
damn
That one is so good
I can lose jackhammer/chainsaw, but taxi driver?
Cant cut green (obviously, our hero) or white. I think we're Naya minimum
White has [[rent is due]]
[[rin and seri, ins]]
Legendary Creature — Dog Cat
Whenever you cast a Dog spell, create a 1/1 green Cat creature token.
Whenever you cast a Cat spell, create a 1/1 white Dog creature token.

,
: Rin and Seri deals damage to any target equal to the number of Dogs you control. You gain life equal to the number of Cats you control.
4/4
dog cat
[[j jonah jameson]]
Thats a man
Just some guy
I think the dog cat might actually be a hilarious choice
I still think I dont want to include legends in the 99
[[lara croft, tomb raider]] too
Legendary Creature — Human Ranger
First strike, reach
Whenever Lara Croft attacks, exile up to one target legendary artifact card or legendary land card from a graveyard and put a discovery counter on it. You may play a card from exile with a discovery counter on it this turn.
Raid — At end of combat on your turn, if you attacked this turn, create a Treasure token.
3/4
Lara could be good
tomb raiding is too exotic though
[[jacques le vert]]
[[commander mustard]]
Legendary Creature — Human Soldier
Vigilance
Other Soldiers you control have vigilance, trample, and haste.

: Until end of turn, Soldiers you control gain "Whenever this creature attacks, it deals 1 damage to defending player."
5/5
Mr mustard
oh gau
[[sierra, nuka's biggest fan]] lol
Legendary Creature — Human Citizen
The Nuka-Cola Challenge — Whenever one or more creatures you control deal combat damage to a player, put a quest counter on Sierra and create a Food token.
Whenever you sacrifice a Food, target creature you control gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of quest counters on Sierra.
3/4
This could be a real person
Legendary Creature — Human Assassin
When Elena enters, return target non-Assassin historic card from your graveyard to your hand. (Artifacts, legendaries, and Sagas are historic.)
Whenever you cast a historic spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Elena.
"Looks like talking alone won't cut it. You're going to have to feel some pain!"
1/4
Can't believe I've looked through 1800 legendaries
[[generous pup]]
so cute
Whatever im working on at any given time, right now its my all IRL/mundane/regular stuff decm
Commander is a placeholder mostly https://moxfield.com/decks/W5aqDdh_Vk6WgWBQ8IXqZQ
I like collaborating with people too
I got a new one, anyone got any suggestions? Its a bit of a mercenary tribal thing, with a little secret commander cloud action. Weird deck, so suggestions welcomed
Hmm
yay
I wish my stupid secret commander and all his dumb tutor targets weren't so many $$$
PLaying the deck for the first time, quite fun so far
@stark totem I think you might enjoy this one. Either way, my latest concoction, a UG scry deck that appears to lack a win con. seems very fun https://moxfield.com/decks/KZ9Rh9_Yf0q32koUX4b76w
I'll take a look when I get home!
Ooooh good, The Temporal Anchor made the cut!
a card with an impact, wooO!
This does appear to lack a win con
Is the secret that [[Elrond, Master of Healing]] can get you there?
Legendary Creature — Elf Noble
Whenever you scry, put a +1/+1 counter on each of up to X target creatures, where X is the number of cards looked at while scrying this way.
Whenever a creature you control with a +1/+1 counter on it becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, you may draw a card.
4/4
I see
welp, you can play it against my new Bracket 1 deck and we can see if anyone wins the game before we all deck ourselves
Secret commander as in he's secretly my commander, I believe I have 10 ways to tutor him.
There are so many ways to tutor for mercs. They're fun
The deck is super fun, mercs are great now
The 1 black merc tutor is one of the most pushed tutors in the game too
@hidden light has you or your husband built mercs by any chance? If so im curious what your take would be
Ill look at your list when im home. Outlaws seem to be a crazy deep super-tribe, it was hard to not include tons of them
I am revisiting my Tocasia graveyard synergy, merfolk tribal B2 mess thing and I would LOVE feedback as its a bit all over the place: https://moxfield.com/decks/EfIoJKaErkeGvP39ZvxJDw
@vagrant remnant @stark totem @crystal cliff feel free to ignore me if you dont want to be pinged, I figured it doesnt hurt to send out the bat signal a bit
signal received ^^
As is normal I have a pretty big considering board to peruse lol
Oh hello
Hi there
I did say I would ping you next time I was working on something thematic
I am LOST on this one lmao
u going with mycosynth lattice?
I got encroaching in there, im considering lattice
Lattice is a spoopy card
I dont really like being #ThatGuy
🙂
I think I took the wrong approach with interaction, im just cutting it all
Im probably gonna cut like 40 cards
if u would u could focus on hakbal being your shadow commander with lattice/halo fountain being the hidden wincon (but really the main one)
I want to be playing to the board for sure
I dont have the consistency ( and I wont in this deck) to be relying on hakbal
Will look when I get a chance
I think I just need things to do one random turns that actually matter lmao
Not like huge plays
idk man
I dont know about the lords
Thats one thing
I like the vibe, but tbh they dont actually do that much
nah, lords in mine are filler basicly aswell.
But I also feel like why am I playing merfolk if im not putting 2/2s in play
Oh thats nice
More things to bin for value is good
Mist dancer is sick
Plus its a bomb, which I wanted
[[vodalian wave-knight is pretty good]] if im attacking
just wanted to ask u how reliably u can put +1+1 counters on your creatures
cause if u did, i'd would open possibilities: mutational advantage. inspiring call, herald of secret dreams
I unironically think some of these random explore merfolk might be better than my lords
So I take it this is more about the surveil and the tapping than it is about the artifact reanimation, as a rule of thumb
ye, explore really ties in with your commander
Very much so
Its supposed to be sort of the spirit of lorwyn merfolk
Gotcha so like a [[summon the school]] kinda vibe
100%
And as i've built it the deck has been moving down in power level tbh, I think it might actually be in the summon the school bracket at this point
triumph of the hordes... if u wanna be that guy ;D
I do not
figured ^^ had to suggest it tho ^^
I have my big win condition already
😛
Im happy with the one
Oh should I run [[millenium calendar]] lol
Legendary Artifact
Whenever you untap one or more permanents during your untap step, put that many time counters on The Millennium Calendar.
,
: Double the number of time counters on The Millennium Calendar.
When there are 1,000 or more time counters on The Millennium Calendar, sacrifice it and each opponent loses 1,000 life.
I have a whole calendar package im considering
[[Vorel of the hull clade]]
if u would rock millenium ^^
Yeah maybe I should be
[[kioras follower]]
I probably also need at least some way to bin my commander lmao
Follower I have
Apparently I was already playing vorel lol
The calendar is loosely on brand with merfolk, since Ixalan
Ooh thats true
Would [[betrayal]] be worth a slot or too minor?
If I could put that on my creaure that would be SICK
Im in the business for any tap synergy really
[[kumena, tyrant of ora]]
merfolks are cheap ^^
[[deeproot historian]] is probably worth a slot
Creature — Merfolk Druid
Merfolk and Druid cards in your graveyard have retrace. (You may cast cards with retrace from your graveyard by discarding a land card in addition to paying their other costs.)
"The language of the Komon Winaq has much in common with the tongue of our ancestors. Surely the two peoples once lived and worked in close harmony."
3/3
You know tatyova is a merfok? Thats pretty funny
yup, its in the 99 of the precon
Ive seen her enough though
Thoughts on [[wakethrasher]]?
I love this card tbh
It’s not crazy but depending on your level of shenanigans it can be quite beefy
Its always underperforms and dies for me though
But hes a house
Its probably worth it just as a big blocker here
[[well rested]] thoughts?
SO SICK
It’s not just your turn as well
I run like 8 untap effects
If you’re in full shenanigans mode
I like fallout mechanically so much I just ignore the dogwater set symbol and weird vibes
Plus I like the IP
I just like fallout so I’m usually in mind of it
only once per turn though
I have stuff like [[prop room]]
Enchantment — Room
Creature spells you cast have convoke. (Your creatures can help cast those spells. Each creature you tap while casting a creature spell pays for
or one mana of that creature's color.)
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)
Prop Room

Enchantment — Room
Untap each creature you control during each other player's untap step.
(You may cast either half. That door unlocks on the battlefield. As a sorcery, you may pay the mana cost of a locked door to unlock it.)
Thoughts on [[harvest season]]? I dont think this deck wants a lot of ramp, but this could be splashy
Yeah I agree
I thought I had got them all
[[drumbellower]] is a tough cut god damn
jk its 3 mana, its easy
I think it could potentially be pretty nice as long as you’ve got a decent amount of basics
Also emry fuckign sucks in this deck
Im honestly a bit low
any reason for mirror entity?
Its a good merfolk
I would keep that in mind as you go since it’s a bit of a deflation moment if x is 5 and you’ve only got 2-3 basics left
Mhmm
Yeah thats a really good point
Upping my basic count isnt exactly a bad idea though
Tocasia makes it not super necessary but if you want more sources of easy tapping there’s the spacecraft. They’re not very merfolk but they are kinda tocasia as alien artifacts.
Im not sure which spacecraft would fit
The academy one I dont have enough artifacts for
Let me see
Oh there's [[the seriema]] of course
Legendary Artifact — Spacecraft
When The Seriema enters, search your library for a legendary creature card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.
Station (Tap another creature you control: Put charge counters equal to its power on this Spacecraft. Station only as a sorcery. It's an artifact creature at 7+.)
STATION 7+
Flying
Other tapped legendary creatures you control have indestructible.
5/5
Dawnsire or broodship are simplest probably
I actually dont really hate a station here
Sereima good but I didn’t remember your legendary count
Its something to do with my excess power
[[lumen frigate]] also an easy include
Oh true
She arrived on fish planet in it lol
So smart
She's just down there taking notes
OH GOD
She's the researcher from the amber spyglass that gets stranded on the alien world
Mary Malone
my queen
This is so good
[[unstoppable plan]]
👏
nvm, u already have it ^^
Card is sick though
Okay so i've noticed that I dont have very much interaction lol
rivers rebuke?
Artifact — Vehicle
Whenever this Vehicle attacks, you may mill two cards.
Whenever one or more land cards are put into your graveyard from your library, put them onto the battlefield tapped.
Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
5/5
in theme: [[Reverse the polarity]]
[[silvergill douser]]
i ment that one
Oh
I still kind of want to play silvergill douser
Wave goodbye looks pretty nice, especially since I upped the explore amount
[[merfolk thaum]] one of my favorite combos
Sorta strange one but [[breaking wave]]
This is cool, its like a turnabout for my creatures and also a fog
[[ripples of potential]]
Instant
Proliferate, then choose any number of permanents you control that had a counter put on them this way. Those permanents phase out. (To proliferate, choose any number of permanents and/or players, then give each another counter of each kind already there. Treat phased-out permanents and anything attached to them as though they don't exist until their controller's next turn.)
Oooh
Damn I really missed out in this set
I didnt play during this block
its the standard precon these came in
I like that wave is water themed and it definitely could do some funky stuff for you
Like open someone for a kill after you tap all your fish
Yeah thats what im envisioning
Im hanging out, assembling lords, and then I can swing in after a tap out
Im really liking this emerging water theme
[[prime speaker zagana]] might be worth considering
completely against the theme of your deck but i love the card [[days undoing]]
Sorcery
Each player shuffles their hand and graveyard into their library, then draws seven cards. If it's your turn, end the turn. (Exile all spells and abilities from the stack, including this card. Discard down to your maximum hand size. Damage wears off, and "this turn" and "until end of turn" effects end.)
and if u want cheap mana (as in money) [[growing rites of itlimoc]]
No card found for “growing rites of otli”
Funny but not really on brand is [[centaur omenreader]]
It was in the initial build before I started swapping to the merfolk theme
How do you feel about [[collective effort]]
hmm nice card, didnt know that one
Seems interesting
I like that its modal interaction in a deck thats probably not going to be the most "responsible" lol
And im developing a bit of a +1/+1 counter subtheme after some of these additions I think
dont underestimate it, i build around it with doublers. i usually get around +10+10 per creature per combat
and they're all unblockable ^^
I like that it triple plays as a boost for your board, a tapping source, and interaction against two card types
Yeah same
And having spell that specifically kill high power threats is something I value pretty highly
Becauuse its always that guy with a korvold or whatever
Do we like [[splendid reclamation]], or similar? Im a bit on the fence about it
with the mana cost in your deck being what it is.. doubt u'll need it.
Yeah true
nice if u keep mirror entity tho
I think it’s okay but not needed badly
I literally just cut mirror entity lmao
But im still on the fence about it
I think [[hedge shredder]] is better than reclamation tbh
Artifact — Vehicle
Whenever this Vehicle attacks, you may mill two cards.
Whenever one or more land cards are put into your graveyard from your library, put them onto the battlefield tapped.
Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
5/5
If you want a weird suggestion, [[faces of the past]] is something I never found a home for
much better in that deck
You know I have a physical copy of this card sitting somewhere...
That have been trying to figure out a use for...
A deck where the simple act of tapping and untapped is valuable might be viable
Yeah it really might be good here
Since you’ve trimmed the non fish
i know its an expensive card but imagine that budget cradle + [[bristly bill, spine sower]]
I have no sac outlet to make it really go off, but even just as a reward for losing a creature it seems okay
The other aspect of it is, that it’s symmetrical
Which might really throw some opponents off
Yeah it might
I love old whacky three mana enchantments that mess people up too
Like [[invasion plans]]
Old weird enchantments from the era I started in have a soft spot in my heart
ye, thats a nasty enchantment
I think I might cut top to save budget for some more unique cards
Though no doubt its solid here
[[taunting elf]] my favorite elf
I played taunting elf in legacy
I still have my playset
in two different decks what is wrong with me
Elves and stompy
in any case: i'm out of ideas for your deck and my bed is calling, gnight ^^
Night delrin, thanks for the help you've been great
I can’t remember and it’s a lot of scrolling now, was [[halo fountain]] in consideration
Main deck
Thats a core win con
Gotcha
Ive actually never played with this card before this deck, but I think someone from commander chat pitched me on it
This seems like the right home to me
Im trying to cut down to 100, im still not sure about the lords tbh
I think they're probably not worth cutting until I see how it feels with all merfok
But I do have fucking 47 creatures
I kind of still think I should have at least ONE way to bin my commander, but a sac outlet is really super useful in any other situation
Well I say that but I actually have a few other things that make sacrifice somewhat valuable
The last two cards I have to suggest tonight, especially since you’re looking to cut
Are [[into flood maw]] partly for flavor partly for interaction
Instant
Gift a tapped Fish (You may promise an opponent a gift as you cast this spell. If you do, they create a tapped 1/1 blue Fish creature token before its other effects.)
Return target creature an opponent controls to its owner's hand. If the gift was promised, instead return target nonland permanent an opponent controls to its owner's hand.
And [[split up]] because it feels like a sweep you have an easy time making asymmetrical
Oh cool
Thanks for the help by the way, clutch suggestions
I just cut the generic lords and added those two
Happy to help
I’m super curious to hear what experiences you have with Faces of the Past in particular
I hope I get to play it
I think I am a bit interesting in adding a sac outlet at some point in this deck's life for my commander and for faces and for a few of the merfolk, but for new I like it a lot. Its on the ground, its doing things, its flavorful
Its wet
Its green
I'm happy that I've finally been seeing other people get the Tocasia as a Bant merfolk commander idea
Been thinking about it off and on for the last 2 years... #commander message
You saw into the future it seems.
Its a really fun idea I think, I wouldnt mind seeing other people's takes on the concept if there are others
This is part of why my deck building spans years though sometimes
Same. Especially if theres on last piece of the puzzle im missing
This is the most recent one https://moxfield.com/decks/g6O7basPwUSLpbkcC0K2tg
I like the space theme, i think I want more spacecraft oo. I definitely want to make space for formless Genesis in mine now.
Mine is 100% merfolk in the type line now to fit the "anthropologist studying alien lifeform" theme but all the random tap synergy creatures are so neat
I kind of want to make another tap synergy deck now
I liked that spaceships synergized with the other part of her text
Formless Genesis is one of my favorite cards from the last year
Its so cool idk how i missed it. After aida suggested spacecraft I definitely want to make room for more, probably elevator and the pew pew one
Everyone missed it. It was in the Winter precon
It was reprinted in the EOE lands precon too
Because insect subtheme + wanting lands in graveyards
You can sort of see how narrow the use is currently https://edhrec.com/cards/formless-genesis
I think retrace is generally an under loved mechanic
Retrace is a difficult to balance mechanic
I think people haven’t fully caught up to how strong it’s gotten thanks to all the land recursion coming out
But it's now just making my brain think about [[doc aurlok, grizzled]] bears deck with Lumra, Ayula etc.
No card found for “doc aurlok, grizzled”
Will put that discussion in my own thread rather than have it here, but figured would at least bring it up because it's related
I'm not sure I have much to say about the deck as I'm not sure why Tocasia is the commander and why white is even in the deck, considering that it's main use is for Tocasia
There are merfolk in W like [[stonybrook schoolmaster]] that care about being tapped
Sure, but from my perspective it's clear that many of the deckbuilding choices are incentivizing playing pet cards/lines over running smoothly, which is totally fine but idk if I can help you make your pet lines more fun
I guess the question if I'm looking at the deck is @compact trout what do you want me to look for?
To clarify Rouge specifically tagged me to take a look at the deck which is why I commented
I'm not just out here trolling for no reason
OK, and I'm sorry for the other comment
It's ok you gotta scroll up a long time to see the context, no way you'd have seen it!
I'm out here trolling for no reason
The local transportation authority is out here trolling me for no reason, my train is like an hour and a half late
Boy that's one late train
You know what, if the boss wanted me to be on time he'd have let me work from home!
Are there only 3 white merfolk in your deck rouge?
I tagged the people i could think of that are into thematic builds instead of just power building.
It seems so
I realized last night how many cool merfolk I missed on my first pass
Its supposed to be very focused on the feeling of archeology and lorwyn merfolk overall
My humble opinion is that bant isn't really doing anything for you and basically nothing benefits from being tapped
I really like the white cards I do get to play like schoolmaster and halo fountain
Ok so what do you want the deck to do more of?
The more tap synergy i can play while sticking with the water/research/merfolk themes, as well as interesting effects that I can include that will make it a more exciting experience
Its definitely an under supported archetype, but A. Thats okay and B. Lorwyn 2 is coming soon
Ok well my first thought is that running Tocasia without [[Tocasia's Dig Site]] is an instant flavor fail, how dare you sir for leaving out a colorless utility land in a 3 color deck with only 34 lands
TRUE
See, you get it
I want all of your pet cards lmao
I dont care where it ends up power wise, its closer to b1 than b3 IMO
A more useful tap synergy card that can go in the land slot is [[Scene of the Crime]]
Oh that's cute
I didn't even think about drum effects, and I could definitely use the fixing
I ran a bunch of drum effects in my The Ninth Doctor deck aka Christopher Deckleston before I took it apart
lol
Also fun for Tocasia, albeit not merfolk related, are Inspired cards:
https://scryfall.com/search?as=grid&order=name&q=oracle%3AInspired+commander%3AWUG+(game%3Apaper)
I also guess I don't really understand the theme, so I'm going to stay out of it
You're fine lmao. Im just scraping the bottom of an archetype lmao. I hope lorwyn eclipse pulls through for me
[[Arbiter of the Ideal]] was super fun in Phenax
I'm so excited for lorwyn from the spoilers
I am currently running exclusively cards with merfolk in the type line
I may be convinced to add the changelings back
The idea is that tocasia gets stranded on an alien world and is stuck there researching the intelligent lifeform she finds
Inspired by Mary Malone from amber spyglass
Should I have more generic tribal payoffs?
Thats something that im a huge noob about
Because i only started playing tribal again this year
They’re handy, I build a lot of kindred stuff and the generic options can be nice
Depends on what you want that your type can use more of
Cost reducers, anthems, etc
[[kindred discovery]] is an easy dunk tho
That one looks good, and I wanted more bombs
I always debate door of destiny type effects, im not sure i need them here. Utility seems more.important
Just cause im kind of a durdle deck
Right
Though the one that comes in with counters based on my current board could be a finisher
[[raise palisade]]
[[reflections liitjara]]
Maybe i should add more white cards that why people dont question being bant (/s)
lol fair
I do need more interaction
As a pauper head i love this a lot
[[harsh mercy]] kinda funny but it’s not a full sweep
[[kindred boon]] and [[radiant destiny]] are out there
As well as several other generic kindred anthems
Radiant blessing is actually cute
As a double duty anthem
I dont actually mind white being a splash color, but that's worth considering for sure
Reflection is powerful but its not my thing
Fair
[[$raise the palisade]] I am reminded why I dont play generic tribal cards
$19.43
$18.95 • 3.06 TIX
$11.83 • €11.33 • 3.71 TIX
$14.81 • €18.69 • 2.85 TIX
Hmm, unfortunate
I can fit it here tbh
I have room in the budget for a fun card that will live in my collection, but its a decision point
I also generally turn down cards above 5-10 dollars so I get it either way you go
Yeah I do the same
Its a way for me to passively control the power of my deck in a small way while giving me a fun restriction to work around
[[summon leviathan]] is cool
Enchantment Creature — Saga Leviathan
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after III.)
I — Return each creature that isn't a Kraken, Leviathan, Merfolk, Octopus, or Serpent to its owner's hand.
II, III — Until end of turn, whenever a Kraken, Leviathan, Merfolk, Octopus, or Serpent attacks, draw a card.
Ward
6/6
It really should
You know what deck i've started like 10 times?
Sea monsters
I keep making a deck, adding that two mana enchantment and then just not knowing what to do and deleting it
I think choosing the right subtheme is important
if the hybrid changes go through I get to play the other sygg lmao
[[bygone marvels is pretty cool]]
No card found for “bygone marvels is pretty cool”
[[bygone marvels]]
I want to find room for growing rites, search for azcanta, and [[twists and turns]] maybe
Enchantment
If a creature you control would explore, instead you scry 1, then that creature explores.
When this enchantment enters, target creature you control explores.
When a land you control enters, if you control seven or more lands, transform this enchantment.
Mycoid Maze
Land — Cave
(Transforms from Twists and Turns.)
: Add
.

,
: Look at the top four cards of your library. You may reveal a creature card from among them and put that card into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
Gonna call this 100
Im happy
I should probably wrap up this whatever, before i move on to a new deck https://moxfield.com/decks/H9rYfpjhPUOIyngJvfu7Zw
I think ill put it off
Working on a new deck, I think its a pretty exciting concept. Im doing blue-red aggro with [[gut, true soul zealot]] and [[sword coast sailor]] as my commander. The idea is to play an earnest red beatdown plan, and to leverage blue's card draw via [[coastal piracy]] effects. I think blue also has some cool artifact synergy I can tap into, as well as token synergy perhaps.
P.S. [[aura thief]] is hot tech with gut.
Legendary Creature — Goblin Shaman
Whenever you attack, you may sacrifice another creature or an artifact. If you do, create a 4/1 black Skeleton creature token with menace that's tapped and attacking. (It can't be blocked except by two or more creatures.)
Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
2/2
wait this is actually so neat
I saw the Memnarch conversation in chat earlier and now I want to build a Memnarch deck when I have time
seems like it could be a pretty decent bracket 4 with enough mana
Yeah you can for sure
Its definitely a good payoff in the command zone for a big blue deck
Neat little old freak. Had one in my illusion kindred deck in the 60 card days
wtf, aura thief is cool as hell
Note [[$aura thief]]
$7.52 • €2.77
$7.60 • €3.49 • 0.69 TIX
It was higher, so that's at least gone back down
My aura thief arc is starting
As long as everyone here stans aura thief
Still tuning a bit, im going to start playtesting now. I think the A. plan is looking really good, and I have a TON of interaction. Im looking to add a few cards that can help me close the door on a game, but im not sure where to look. Something with modality would be great cause I am an aggro deck
Im liking the look
Part of me thinks the white variation still sounds very fun so I might make two lists
This is my tentative 99 for this deck so far. So many decisions to make around the # of inclusions for different bending effects. Definitely hard to find space for interaction, card draw, ramp, and win conditions haha, especially wanting to do something a bit different as a win condition.
Overall I really like where its at. It can pop off really hard with a flipp avatar, and the win con of doubling his power and taking a bunch of combat steps is cute. We'll see if that remains my final choice.
I may make a higher bracket version with tutors very focused on moonmist, we will see. Either way, I am happy to have jumped through the bending hoops and explored the set https://moxfield.com/decks/zqVHu_lT70eplKyCvz3hRQ
Legendary Creature — Beast Noble
You may play an additional land on each of your turns.

,
: Look at the top six cards of your library. You may reveal a creature card with mana value less than or equal to the number of lands you control from among them and put it onto the battlefield. Put the rest on the bottom in a random order.
1/4
[[Sakiko, Mother of Summer]]
[[Shizuko, Caller of Autumn]]
I've been contemplating loot, definitely could be worth
I love Sakiko, I need to finish building snakes
Tunnels snakes rule btw
lmao
Come, brew with me
[[helm of awakening]]
Yeah I just added that
[[conjurers bauble]] [[abundance]]
im actually very into storm looping with six into weather the storm and then the following turn cast aetherflux reservoir
Me too
i think that's sick
chatterstorm is notably also 2 mana
so it also works on the loop
it just can't be any of the payoffs that are more than 2
because you only ever get 2 mana as the max when you're looping
Yeah
We also can benefit off a lot of payoff types
Since we are playing cards, having lands come into play, and creatures going to play and grave
are you going to run led?
What pell said
you should
LED is out of my budget anyways, its probably a good choice in general though
you need cradle, you need ancient tomb you need crop rot?
Its our best combo outlet, basically our breach
do you need tomb
you want LED but LED is $2000
print one
very true
I printed like 5
Lmao
only use one lol
its a cool card
i think LED with Six is the funniest shit because like
Because I played ad naus tendrils in legacy
im discarding the land anyway!
Ive just had my time with the card
Im interested in playing with different, but also very fun cards
LED is VERY fun
Do we want any alternate mono green lines?
Like selvala lines or yisan lines?
maybe aftermath
Aftermath is in
I think springheart nantuko arbor lines are fun
Yeah I think you're right
GSZ very good
That card isnt a GC is it?
do you want ashaya + qurion and scryb?
if we're chatterstorming we cannot forget the 1 mana enchantment
Thats a good one here
Personally I would find it really amusing if you had mazes end + 10 gates
but I don't think that fits the power level
can you get to 10 gates in monogreen
If you guys follow me on moxfield I can add you as editors so you can make changes
I did 10 gates at this power level already
Its my favorite deck, and I have it in paper
Just optional
You dont need to, some people just like it
yeah fair
idc either way
are you willing to run earthcraft
ive always wanted to run earthcraft + squirrel nest
haha
also i keep forgetting we're monogreen and trying to suggest jyoti lines
but you cannot run any of the blue cards that jyoti requires for its stuff
I love squirrel nest lines
That's pretty b4 though
Chromatic sphere is sweet here with our cost reduers
waht about tyvar + devoted druid?
it would also require 5 mana and a 5 power creature on board
im big on tyvar devoted + 5 power creature
I like this a lot
Foundry inspector goes infinite here with a lot of stuff
Er
[[scrap trawler]] I mean
[[titania protector]] [[ashaya soul]] [[vesuva]]
weird lumra esc loop
We should cut all win condition and do some really awful [[endurance loop]]
Thats what Nadu did 😉
Sounds good
100 card baseline https://moxfield.com/decks/xM-VNceDvUCIkkqQxOEIUA
[[$lions eye diamon]]
9.90 TIX
9.88 TIX
$575.58 • €332.08 • 15.02 TIX
I just added it anyways, we're gonna do a budgetless list
Hell yeah
combos probly like aftermath analyst or lumra + mirrorpool would fit
Cub goes with Lotus Cobra and Springheart Nantuko as well. Though that is just lots of land I believe.
You finally made a thread
Uh
Ironically I started this thread working on the deck I finished TODAY
Right before I started working on this, thats awesome
Absolutely, I have that in now
Up to 121 cards now, cuts time
Inkmoth Nexus (Blinkmoth/Mishra's Factory) + Lotus Cobra + Springheart Nantuko can also become infinite (tapped) lands.
dryad arbor can be used
Yeah i'm on arbor + springheart
I also have cultivator colossus + abundance
Tyvar + devoted druid
Man green has a lot of combos
Tell me about it. I've spend weeks building my monogreen combo deck.
I have a ton of six combos here too, mostly with LED or myr retriever type stuff
This needs more cards right?
Yeah
Bada bum, bada bing. Thanks for the help, this seems ready for me to playtest https://moxfield.com/decks/xM-VNceDvUCIkkqQxOEIUA
I cut ashaya, I think it was starting to steal the show
Makes sense
First goldfish was a turn 4 win
I have LED+Life from the loam + cycling land loop available, meaning I can flip my library and win
Let's go
turn 4
Turns out this these six lines are actually sick
Its fun that most of my combos require six
That's dope
Well, somehow I started another mono green combo project, this time mono green twiddling storm FEAT. An actual storm commander
This one i intend to build in paper, since I ended up priced out of the last 3 green decks I made
@dusty charm@vital wing @minor forge https://moxfield.com/decks/H9rYfpjhPUOIyngJvfu7Zw much abrew about Tameshi PO
Potential Pell tournament deck 😉
I need assistance
I have a lot going on here
PO 😮
Open request for assistance or focused on the people you pinged?
100% appreciated and encouraged!
So i've got a few lines going on here
Tameshi goes infinite with several combinations of artifact lands and lotus blooms
I'm looking for cuts but worth knowing about [[Rescuer Chwinga]]
Me too big fan
I'm going to cut a lot of the medium value creatures, i'd rather they be artifacts
I think i'm fairly confident about my GC choices here
I really like force+fierce in decks like these
Currently ToR is taking a slot to combo with MoM, but that might be honestly too fast anyways
So one of those cards probably needs cut
MoM combos with double artifact land which is really cool
Damn, outpaced! Just got home though, good timing
Do you want me looking at this list, as a prospective opponent?
I'll leave that up to you completely as a prospective opponent! Personally I don't care at all, I just like community deck building
I wont use it to inform my decisions on deckbuilding but all info is a weapon for me haha
You're welcome to use that info
So fast
I'm not sure [[scapegoat]] is actually good here with my creature count, but boy do I want to play it
Its probably still good, it doesnt need to do that much to be good
I think my interaction suite is pretty solid, but I think i'd like to leverage my artifact tutors to have more of a toolbox if possible
I think it' s one of 3 that do?
But it was randomly in CLB
There's five, but three of them don't have flash
I think
I said that a lot more confidently than I feel about it
Still need 21 cuts, but its getting a lot more tidy looking
Oh wait I think I still need a win condition
"Another permanent" https://scryfall.com/search?q=o%3A"return+another+permanent+you+control+to+its+owner’s+hand"+commander%3Aazorius&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name
[[fear of isolation]]
Enchantment Creature — Nightmare
As an additional cost to cast this spell, return a permanent you control to its owner's hand.
Flying
On the second day after he'd been separated from his friends, Tino worried they'd be panicking at his absence. By the fourth, he was certain they'd never cared for him at all.
2/3
[[kor skyfisher]]
Interesting
Ambrosia can go in too for now
Im curious if [[get out]] is actually good
I think a way to untap the one ring would be kind of handy
Which one?
It just untaps creatures
dang
[[Sewer-veillance Cam]]
[[Corridor monitor]] would untap tor
I'm trying to figure out if solve the equation and merchahnt scroll are worth it for mostly PO/force/whir too
I think this fits kind of well actually
It can untap my coveted jewel too
So i'm down to a rough 100 if anyone can take a look and give any thoughts
where is your [[boomerang basics]]
True
am i also too stupid to see how this is winning the game
LMAO
Thats the plan
yeah i know you can pseudo-bomberman with tameshi and bloom
There's like a million lines
Its pretty fun
Tameshi+two artifacts lands+mind over matter for example
just need like, a copy of blue sun's zenith?
Maybe an [[altar of the brood]]
Since thats tutorable
that works too
looks very tight, i do worry about how fast we can get to infinite mana
but like
I think there's probably some sort of clever conjurer's bauble loop I can come up with eventually
I'm not sure how fast its gonna be either
I have a few backup plans
Mind over matter and displacer kitten are both good enough to carry a game
The one ring is honestly my A plan I think
Just like regular PO
I think if i'm running oswald+repurposing bay I should run a 5 cmc artifact
Im also considering cutting those two cards though
First test is a turn 6 goldfish
you could run nexus of becoming
just a good value artifact and happens to cost 5
[[nexus of becoming]]
Its 6
Do you mean [[ugin's nexus]]
Because yeah
no
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
i mean the fucking thing that makes blood clue or treasure
you lost me
[[transmutation font]]
Yeah
Well and blood tokens are good too
I have to get bloom into the yard sometimes
other options are like, forsaken monument, throne of eldraine
[[forsaken monument]] [[throne of eldraine]]
Zero percent monument
wait do you have basalt in here because if so that one doesnt work lmao
No I dont
oh good
Monolith combos are not B3 IMO
There's so much stuff I want to make room for
wasnt sure if you'd included it since you didnt have any other combo piece for it
gilded lotus is also cmc5
Thats true
Lotus might just be right
But honestly throne naming blue is like, almost better
artifact pod lets you pod into any artifact right
not just noncreature?
if so you could go into karn
[[karn legacy reforged]]
Legendary Artifact Creature — Golem
Karn's power and toughness are each equal to the greatest mana value among artifacts you control.
At the beginning of your upkeep, add
for each artifact you control. This mana can't be spent to cast nonartifact spells. Until end of turn, you don't lose this mana as steps and phases end.
*/*
ah, yeah, arcum doesnt let you pod into karn
Hmmm
I kind of want a few better 3 drop artifacts too so I can pod away my rocks and wellspring
i mean at 3 you have access to like, midnight clock relic of legends
trying to think what else
statuary?
yeah i mean i was trying to look at noncreature
oh wait hear me out here
actually archaeomancer's map
Wait but hear me out basalt
archeomancer's map actually I think would be great
Lets try that
[[charitable levy]]
Enchantment
Noncreature spells cost
more to cast.
Whenever a player casts a noncreature spell, put a collection counter on this enchantment. Then if there are three or more collection counters on it, sacrifice it. If you do, draw a card, then you may search your library for a Plains card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
i fully would try to go up a plains if so
I guess staff of domination could be good to as another way to convert off of infinite mana
Levy is super cool, but its not what im looking for here
we're looking for stuff to pod
Pod?
[[oswald fiddlebender]]
Legendary Creature — Gnome Artificer
Magical Tinkering —
,
, Sacrifice an artifact: Search your library for an artifact card with mana value equal to 1 plus the sacrificed artifact's mana value, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle. Activate only as a sorcery.
"Can't see this airship crashing in the near future. Sturdy as a rock."
2/2
[[repurposing bay]]
Artifact
,
, Sacrifice another artifact: Search your library for an artifact card with mana value equal to 1 plus the sacrificed artifact's mana value, put that card onto the battlefield, then shuffle. Activate only as a sorcery.
By the end of the race, few of the Aether Rangers' vehicles resembled what they started as.
[[surveyors scope]]
we need another good 3cmc
I should be running KCI, eh
so we can pod up to 3
No
i think kci makes this too fast actually
Scope actually could be good though
probably
Scope is from the cedh list
scope is really good here since you'll probably be at 1 or 0 lands a lot
[[pendant of prosperity]]
There's also [[palantir of orthanc]]
Legendary Artifact
At the beginning of your end step, put an influence counter on Palantír of Orthanc and scry 2. Then target opponent may have you draw a card. If that player doesn't, you mill X cards, where X is the number of influence counters on Palantír of Orthanc, and that player loses life equal to the total mana value of those cards.
[[sculpting steel]]
we have sculpting steel already
[[lotus bloom]] is a must add
Artifact
Suspend 3—
(Rather than cast this card from your hand, pay
and exile it with three time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.)
, Sacrifice this artifact: Add three mana of any one color.
we need like, 1 more 3-drop and to decide on a 5-drop
Yeah
Bloom is in
it's already in archi
We have bay, map, steel, and maybe staff of compleation
I think staff is just pretty good?
Maybe?
I'm loving it less
If staff of domination untapped ToR I would probably want it more
[[simulacrum synth]]
[[imposter mech]]
Rip 2 mana
Yes
mech is really good, it is not 3cmc but it is good
Synth is solid
[[liberator urza's]]
Eh
,

: Untap this artifact.
