What's your power level and budget for this deck?

Id say maybe a 6 or 7? But honestly I will take any suggestions that I can work towards later, I just want it to be solid, but I don't want it to be so strong I'll just get hard targeted whenever I play the deck (so like casual-semi competitive)

be warned that people will target you irrationally no matter what you do just because you have poison

#

if you have a stable playgroup, i think it would be actually better if you had exactly 0 sources of bursty infect and make that super clear that you don't run any

#

otherwise people will just get nervous and remove your stuff way too quickly

#

seems like you going a sort of aristocrat direction with cheap bodies and sac. that's quite a bit different from a value based corrupted focused list so you should be clear with what direction you want to go in.

lastly, you should play 2-3 more lands and probably a bit more 2 mana ramp. you have plenty of card draw you want to make sure you have mana to cast your stuff. More group poisoners like ichor rats to get the proliferate ball rolling are also vitally important.

#

i have a controlling atraxa poison list that draws a ton of hate, but i also have a lot more board wipes and removal to handle the aggression

That's fair, I think the way I saw it was I wanted one or two bursty ways to take someone down if they got way too scary, and yeah there is a lot of sac outlets because originally I had [[vishgraz]] as the commander and can't decide which to stick with

Legendary Creature — Phyrexian Insect
Menace, toxic 1 (Players dealt combat damage by this creature also get a poison counter.)
When Vishgraz, the Doomhive enters the battlefield, create three 1/1 colorless Phyrexian Mite artifact creature tokens with toxic 1 and "This creature can't block."
Vishgraz gets +1/+1 for each poison counter your opponents have.
3/3

yeah vishgraz probably makes more sense if you want to stick with the token / combat plan.

Ixhell as a corrupted value engine will rely more on a controlling plan to so you actually have time to cast the free stuff you get. while greaves are a good start, you will probably want more protection spells, either in the form of black resurrect effects like [[Not dead after all]] or w/g indestructible/hexproof

the logic to have a bursty plan to take someone out seems sound intially, but you just quickly learn people are way more afraid of poison that they should be and the thought of a skyth coming out of no where to finish them off is extra scary. People look at him as basically at 6 mana 16/4 with haste that they can't heal from.

#

it's still a good plan of course, just take the proper precautions

urban berry
#

Honestly I went with ixhel cause I figured people would see them as slower and less scary immediately

And ya see, honestly I'd be ok with that as long as I don't still get hyper focused xD (the 20 limit that is)

sword isn't that great imo, especially when you're already in green

#

yeah, but in that game the person who won had an infinite life gain deck, so i think they were conspiring against the poison player knowing that was one of the only clear ways they could lose lol

lapis hound
#

overall i agree, it's fun to just play with the value engine and get corrupted payoffs

#

drawing 3 a turn off ixhel is sweet

urban berry

I thought about putting helm of the host in there, if it wasn't $15 I would for the fun of it

lapis hound
#

yeah you probably want more lands and mana at that point

#

with so much top end and cards drawn to spend it on

urban berry
#

Yeah my deck feels quite low end besides maybeike Elish norn

#

How many 1 or 0 drops justify urzas saga in the list?
