Trying to tune up Savra to start getting the engine or at least the sack shenanigans going early. Deck is supposed to be a high power but unsure what im missing. I have about 3 combos in the deck and such but I would greatly appreciate help. Goal of the deck is to create enough tokens with sack outlets to keep the board mostly clear on my end to be able to win. It is supposed to be hard to deal with and able to at least draw some hate and archenemy. Goldfishing it gives me an average of starting to do things around turn 8, which in reality that is turn 10 give or take in paper, and I want to lower that, so any help would be greatly appreciated since I want to start building this deck in paper soon.

So you essentially want to play around the gravepact effect to play aristocrats control
My rule for looking to update a deck is to always start from 0 regardless of if the change you are looking for is small or big, this way you just avoid the whole "death by a thousand cuts" scenarios were you introduce more and more dissoncance into a list
Any restrictions on the types of cards you are comfortable with
(i assume no RL powercards so you dont have to rob a bank to build this, but other then that)
Also are there corecards you dont wanna exclude because of any reason?
I only just want to Run [[Grim Feast]] mainly because i wanna play it somewhere
but Im open to deleting the whole deck and starting from the ground up
I mean it does make sense for the deck too
dont delete
open a new one
did a quick "core cards" mock up
these are the cards i think should go in every version of this deck regardless of focus
(the sideboard are differing options i could think of on the top of my head depending on the focus of gameplay and other utility options like ramp, color splite etc.)
yeah, I think I want to do the gravepact playstyle
Its a very powerful playstyle
but also wanted to have enough hybrid cards to even out on savra triggers if she's on board but realized that I will need to make it more not lean on the commander too much.
The token route is probably the way to go
is there a budget limit outside of "i dont have more money then god"?
General tip for deckbuilding is never fill in the lands until the end unless you are doing a specific land focused build, like if you are a Coffers deck, this is why i just put in 36 wastes as filler for now
around the 700$ is there. but also like most of the budget will go into lands, so excluding lands for the moment
my meta? not enough, me, a lot>
slant?
like overabundance of the color
Cause if there is a lot of black creatures compost will just make this deck draw so much
ok then Sheoldred is not worth it
yeah. we're all mid to high power, leaning more to high power
theres black splash decks butI haven't paid much attention to how many decks in a game play black. I can put it in and it can do some work ofc, but we'll see
Also how removal heavy is your meta, and how is the removal allocated, as in what types of removal are there
Im known as the player who plays the most removal in my meta
I typically try to run between 8-12 pieces of removal in my deck, mostly instants
with savra and fleshbag effects, creature removal will not be needed as much in the deck tho
Yeah, i would only put a few wipes like toxic deluge and Massacre Worm
Massacre Worm is a wincon in and of itself
and you want some wipes for when you got hated out
but not to much
all in total maybe 2-3 wipes
(including Massacre)
i was asking for the type of removal, cause if there isnt that much artifact removal and this can stay on field for a few turns its really good value, if there are artifact wipes every few sec its kinda dead thouhg
I have come to really like Weatherlight Compleated
yeah that + Meathook massacre means you have like 4 wipes which is more then enough
I think the token route is the way to go your initial draft had the right idea but just a bit expensive in that regard i think
i didnt hadd meathook though I should get it
Meathook massacre will be the best card in your deck
this card overperforms every single time
i would definitly also go with Dictate of Erebos
its a 1 mana more expensive Gravepact but has flash
that way you can really catch people
for context, this will be my second aristocrats deck
how cheap is your meta?
like how many low cmc permanents
cause [[Culling Ritual]] is still a monster of a card to clear up enchantress and artifact decks
my average decks run between 1.53-1.93 with lands
but i also pay more attention to mana curve than others
but it runs round 2
What about opponents many token decks or a lot of mana rocks?
mostly rocks but i would say even
This does look like a field of the dead deck to me too
[[Sakura-Tribe Elder]] is also gonna be great
How many pieces of land ramp is the norm? As someone that doesnt tutor i am unsure how much is optimal or usually played
it depends on budget and predilections of people. Mine is dependent on how often I can hit lands from card draw. I tend to at least run 2 pieces of land ramp in sorc slots
how frowned uppon is [[Oppo Agent]] where you play?
Creature — Human Rogue
Flash
You control your opponents while they're searching their libraries.
While an opponent is searching their library, they exile each card they find. You may play those cards for as long as they remain exiled, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast them.
3/2
Is not a card played in the meta. it would be a card I would only play in cEDH myself
added some of them
Looking at more green options now (i am very heavily in black with my card choices in general with all decks if i dont reign myself in)
yeah.
also i think you were right about grist
that pw looks stupid for this deck
so much utility
there is also one with blightmound and something else
Whats your opinion on [[Howling Moon]]?
eh
works for all opponents seperatly
Blightmound + Phy Altar* + Reassembling Skelleton
eh. yeah but eh
it is stupid that Savra can choose if she wants to use her first effect
makes her so flexible and keeps you from killing yourself in infinites
yeah. is the reason why I wanna do this deck
always loved the simple effect
so far new list has 64 cards
nearly through all the green token makers
the list i have been throwing cards into so far has 93
Beledross wouldbe a neat re-add
that is definitly the best effect of its kind
i would add it
and just see if its dead to often or not
cause 7 mana is a lot
but if this gets reanimated or cast and sticks this is brutal
i mean, early game it would be THE play with dread return or reanimate
first draft that got to 100 cards
still a bit iffy on it, feels a bit to much removal and not enough draw
the list i posted
oh oka
12 carddraw pieces is just a bit low for my taste
adding Forbidden orchard also gives them bodies to sack which benenfit you
the landbase is interesting
i do feel the Plaguecrafters are a bit much with the rest of the flexible removal we will have
one at least should be enough TBH
Meren just seems so strong in a list like this, but if you dont like it cut it obviously
i dont think you even need fetchlands for this
I am keeping a look at your list, and i honestly think aslong as the carddraw ends up decent this is gonna be a very strong deck
adding a few things from the og list too
fiend artisan is a really good card
ah i see you are going less reanimator more creatures instead
i also need to add reanimation cards, just haven't gotten around to em'
Where Golgari Signet? Also might I recommend [[Mazerik, Kraul Death Priest]]?
I am not a fan of signets
or
for each permanent destroyed this way.
