3 mana is alot for the ability. I do think the counters make things interesting and would make runnign March of the Machiine effects more fun. because yoou could make sure all your tokens don't die by putting counters on them.
it's one of those 50/50 cards. I can see justification for both sides

I just know I don't need a lot of wincons in this deck, I draw a lot, so I'm afraid running more is going to make doing the primary gameplay loop more inconsistent.
I could also run Masterful Replication for my Steel Seraph

Instead of any of the equips in the contenders list, I went with Halvar God of Battle and Lion Sash, to give me the option of a creature or the equipment, along with Halvar's equipment recycling my creatures.
