As I'm still trying to build Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate... I keep finding that more color options would be optimal in various ways... PURE Colorless is starting to cost more and more for what I want it to do, and even then it's hard: I have to use 2-3 cards more, to equal a single "colored" card... so I think the next best option I've found, and colorless cost, no less is Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch.
#Urtet Sunburst?

Artifact
Whenever you cast an artifact creature spell, it gains sunburst. (It enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast it.)
At the beginning of your end step, if there are thirty or more counters among artifacts and creatures you control, Lux Artillery deals 10 damage to each opponent.
Never tried it personally, but I do like the idea of versatile casting capability while attempting to cast with as many colors as you can. Perhaps you could include a side of Modular/Arcbound to take advantage of the counters? Could include [[Ozolith]] for counter preservation.
Multiple cards match “Ozolith”, can you be more specific?
[[The Ozolith]]
Legendary Artifact
Whenever a creature you control leaves the battlefield, if it had counters on it, put those counters on The Ozolith.
At the beginning of combat on your turn, if The Ozolith has counters on it, you may move all counters from The Ozolith onto target creature.
As it twists, so does all life around it.
How heavily would you want to rely on colored spells?
With enchantments like [[Doubling Season]], [[Annointed Procession]], &/or [[Parallel Lives]] used in conjunction with, [[Abstruce Archaic]] & [[Wandering Archaic]], it seems potent
Creature — Avatar
Whenever an opponent casts an instant or sorcery spell, they may pay
. If they don't, you may copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the copy.
"Fly the path of nine birds."
4/4
Explore the Vastlands
Sorcery
Each player looks at the top five cards of their library and may reveal a land card and/or an instant or sorcery card from among them. Each player puts the cards they revealed this way into their hand and the rest on the bottom of their library in a random order. Each player gains 3 life.
Haha, yeah it seems like you could easily build up the 30 counters required for continuous shots.
Mycosynth Lattice to make everything colorless & artifact
& mana every color
seems crazy fun
Definitely a lot of ways to combo with that setup.
[[Freed From the Real]] the Archaic and you could kill the table in one turn.
even [[Painter's Servan]]
Oh good, here I was wondering how you'd use Painter
can't remember what it's called
think it was a black enchantment
I've heard it was a Judges' Nightmare to include both Painter's and Mycosynth in the same deck lmao
Makes sense. 9 other creatures would result in 30 counters with 1 activation
Yup, and I could even include the other Com I'm trying to build [[Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate]]... if I had Mycosynth in play that is
Legendary Creature — Spirit Naga
Omarthis, Ghostfire Initiate enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
Whenever you put one or more +1/+1 counters on another colorless creature, you may put a +1/+1 counter on Omarthis.
When Omarthis dies, manifest a number of cards from the top of your library equal to the number of counters on it.
0/0
then throw [[Golden Argosy]] in there, attack and return them all face up
Legendary Artifact — Vehicle
Whenever Golden Argosy attacks, exile each creature that crewed it this turn. Return them to the battlefield tapped under their owner's control at the beginning of the next end step.
Crew 1 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 1 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
3/6
pretty brutal if you can pull it off
Also [[Mirror Entity]]
and [[Maskwood Nexus]]
ooo, good one
I always loved that card
I could never find a good use for it tho XD
in here it would be awesome
Hah, well it's nice to have "oops all Myrs" active whenever you can.
true
How heavy should I be in the anthems do you think? Like [[Vanquisher's Banner]]
that's a given, for the draw, just curious about more
In sunburst Cost Reducers seem like a downside
so there's a bit to consider
I'd say keep anthems limited. They'll clog your focus, and you'll probably prefer to keep things bent towards Counters rather than passive buff.
👍
Any thoughts on Proliferate effects? From what I've researched, it almost seems that proliferate, and counters are 2 different focuses, even tho they have synergy
You may want to include a few actual Myr as well.
[[Myr Galvanizer]]
[[Myr Propagator]]
[[Myr Welder]]
[[Shimmer Myr]]
[Myr Battlesphere]]
[[Myr Battlesphere]]
Artifact Creature — Myr Construct
When Myr Battlesphere enters the battlefield, create four 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature tokens.
Whenever Myr Battlesphere attacks, you may tap X untapped Myr you control. If you do, Myr Battlesphere gets +X/+0 until end of turn and deals X damage to the player or planeswalker it's attacking.
4/7
already have those, as well as [[Suntouched Myr]]
Proliferate is going to be helpful if counters are always present. [[Contagion Clasp]] and [[Contagion Engine]] are good options for reliability.
in this case [[Throne of Geth]] would be godlike
I like that one
[[Atraxa, Praetors' Voice]] might actually be a worth 99 include here
bit restrictive on casting, but if it gains sunburst it would be an 8/8 that continually proliferates
Legendary Planeswalker — Vraska
Compleated (
can be paid with
or 2 life. If life was paid, this planeswalker enters with two fewer loyalty counters.)
0: You draw a card and you lose 1 life. Proliferate.
−2: Target creature becomes a Treasure artifact with "
, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color" and loses all other card types and abilities.
−9: If target player has fewer than nine poison counters, they get a number of poison counters equal to the difference.
Loyalty: 6
hmm
Though really I'd say keep your proliferate package as tight as possible. Bloating support packages too much can result in an unfocused game plan.
that's brutal if you're going the poison route
and the draw...
wow
I forgot about her
Yep, my Brokkos deck (thread below ours) has seen a lot of value from her in initial testing.
It seams like I might be onto something... I appreciate your input!
No problem! You can always just throw all the junk into the blender and see what playtesting looks like. See what lines of play evolve from the list, even if it's far over 100 cards to start with.
Absolutely! Last quick question: what do you think the downsides would be to include [[Enchanted Evening]] with [[Mycosynth Lattice]]? seems weird, but there could be potential
Hmm, well, making them Enchantments seems to open them up to more removal, without an apparent upside
If you're including something that affects enchantments or are affected by enchantment count, then it would make more sense.
fair enough I'll look into it... I know Anikthea could be fun for zombie token/enchantments, but that would be spreading it too thin methinks...
Very much so. That sounds like a fun few thoughts for a very different deck.
yea, Anikthea has my love, I have yet to caress her... XD
Hahaha, she does plant an interesting flag in the Abzan color wedge
Zombies, Enchantments & Artifacts are definately my favorite types in MTG
I'd say take Zombies + Enchantments and run Anikthea in her own direction
Expensive financially? Or in Mana cost
All the good zombies only trigger off of NONtoken zombies...
Ahhh
XD
sorry, I know it would be broken, but it makes it annoying
zombies SHOULD be a flood, sorry... not sorry
anywho, yea, you've given me some great things to consider, so I'll work on it and update soon
This has always worked for me in creating hordes, haha
Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the resulting brews
I'll definitely check it out
When you get a chance, would you mind checking out that Brokkos list I posted? I'd love some Cuts feedback if you have any
[[Conspiracy]] I found it
I love "OLDER" cards, they have "out of color" effects more often then not
I'll definitely take a look, I love giving my 2c
Plz message the list to me, I lost it in the post
I think I found a perfect enchantment for my deck: [[The Flesh is Weak]]
,
: Tap enchanted creature.
: Until end of turn, creatures you control have base power and toughness X/X and gain all creature types.
,
