I'm curious to hear how your deck performed, Enlisted Wurm used to be a favorite of mine when I first got into EDH!

There's no easy answer for you question about whether or not to include a few cards that don't directly synergize with your list's core strategy. To me, the choice to include unusual cards happens because either I really enjoy the cards and want to play them even if they are suboptimal to overall performance; or the deck's core strategy is easily disrupted and it needs a solid backup plan.

In practice, this usually means that about 90-95 of the non commander cards all follow the same plan and then 5-10 of them synergize with my commander in a way that the other cards do not. Thinking about a list with Perrie the Pulverizer at the head, this would look like ~95 cards that care about a wide variety of counters and +1/+1 counters and then maybe a couple cards that really work best when paired with attacking with a single large creature like [[Duelist's Heritage]].

Another way to think about it is to include cards that shore up the deck's weaknesses. So cards like Enlisted Wurm work really well if you find your deck doesn't have enough draw power and needs those kinds of 2 spells for the cost of 1 kind of plays.

Ah gotcha. Btw, this discord server has a bot setup to show cards if you put them between double brackets so you don't need to try and type up the stats

#

Can you link the list? Is it in Moxfield or archidekt or something?

You can just copy and paste the url of the webpage from moxfield

Same as how you'd share the url for any website
