[[Boros Charm]]
In some decks I use it as a combat trick. Another uses it to ping off of PW's to kill them or stop an ult
In Gishath I used to run it to protect my board state.
[[LIghtning BOlt]] in red decks for a quick 1 mana ping to kill a creature. In Solphim it can become a 18 damage burn spell for R

Sorcery
Escalate—Discard a card. (Pay this cost for each mode chosen beyond the first.)
Choose one or more —
• Target opponent reveals their hand. You choose an instant or sorcery card from it. That player discards that card.
• Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn.
• Target opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life.
I've used it in decks as a removal option but in Greasefang it becomes a quick way to just dump cards into my graveyard
[[Defiler of Vigor]] serves as a beater and value piece in GW Selvala, but in Kodama of the West Tree it's basically Cathars' Crusade stapled to a 6/6 that can also enable storm turns
Creature — Phyrexian Wurm
Trample
As an additional cost to cast green permanent spells, you may pay 2 life. Those spells cost
less to cast if you paid life this way. This effect reduces only the amount of green mana you pay.
Whenever you cast a green permanent spell, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
6/6
[[Eternal witness ]] she's just good value, and on curve
I read “what cards do you run in multiple decks…” and realized I’d have to type a wall of text, then “…for completely different reasons” saved from any typing. 😅
[[Illustrious Wanderglyph]]. An anthem and pressure applier in Urza. A source of tappable bodies for Kitt Kanto.
Artifact Creature — Golem
Ascend (If you control ten or more permanents, you get the city's blessing for the rest of the game.)
Other artifact creatures you control get +2/+2 as long as you have the city's blessing.
At the beginning of each upkeep, create a 1/1 colorless Gnome artifact creature token.
2/2

I run this in Marchesa because I get to drain my life and remove something, and I run this in Slimefoot and Squee because I get to pitch a fat reanimation target and remove something.
It’s basically two upsides for each ideal application.
thanks for mentioning this, I looked through my ixalan stuff and found one, replaced go for the throat in Oloro
