Following past examples, figured it'd be better to make a thread for everything instead of one for each deck

Gyrus - https://www.moxfield.com/decks/LU46kAWEckK5QLo7RtaV1w
Ixhel - https://www.moxfield.com/decks/GmaWWA2AIkqTTB4t0QiDGQ
Visghraz - https://www.moxfield.com/decks/qC3FYc_yxEqHsBsdW4MbKA
Tasigur - [soon ™️]

Gyrus has been my most stable deck so far but MOM has messed that up pretty hard including considering turning into a Kresh deck instead for old times sake.

Current inclusions I want to make but haven't finalized are:
Etali, Primal Conqueror
Invasion of Ikora
Fiend Artisian

I think the Invasion and Fiend being tutors can be swapped for either other tutors, specifically Finale of Devastation, but could also be included by swapping some of the redundant cards like Anje Falkenrath and Ogre Battledriver. I'm currently leaning towards the latter, since Anje in particular only really shines in combination with LFTL but otherwise (and even then) Azra Oddsmaker does a better job by actually giving me CA and not just a random swap.

Etali feels like a harder swap because it doesn't really do anything something else does. My top end is starting to feel a bit top heavy for my taste with 10 6+ drops (including it and excluding the cost on Vorinclex // The Grand Evolution's flip cost). Hellkite Tyrant is the main thing calling my attention as a possible swap as its semi reliant on my opponents having stuff to steal, but I also just got it and haven't tested it yet.

I could always do a bit of both and cut say Finale, Anje, and the Ogre and that gives me all three slots, but dunno yet.

Ixhel is in a pretty solid spot right now I think, with the deck having played really well in the last few games as I finally got the pieces I was missing. However I do feel like the deck lost a bit of its soul along the way as I ended up having to sacrifice a couple of subthemes I was pretty excited about such as Equipments and RoL type stuff. Unfortunately the equipment package felt like it took up too much space and didn't actually have enough support. In regards to RoL and Co, the deck ended up relying more on sorcery speed cards than originally intended, making it keeping parity with my opponents tougher at one card per turn of mine, combined with most players so far keeping to one or two spells per turn anyways.

Other than that though, the deck still has a bit of that Rock feeling I looked to originally, having various ways to attack my opponents resources.

Possibly adding:
Invasion of Toldova
Invasion of Gobakhan

Vishgraz is what I’m currently working on, mainly for a friend but I might get the missing cards for it later. While I was thinking about what I didn’t like about the Ixhel list I kinda thought it’d be neat to sort of combine the blink subtheme of Daedalus’s Avacyn deck with the token and walker themes of her Teysa deck ( #1033991244877148200 ) but after an initial draft the token subtheme faded away between feeling disjointed and token support being really expensive.

Stylewise I want it to play somewhere in the Nic Fit / TorEx tradition but with blink stuff to supplement the recursion. Cards like Shigeki x TorEx seems like a great recursive engine. And Vishgraz beats x tokens x proliferate/infect stuff should give me a decent way to close out games.

Currently I have like 19 cards too many and I have no clue what to cut.

Maybe living death could be neat if you’re dumping a lot of stuff in the yard

wild spindle
# plucky hare Any reason you’re not playing greater good in gyrus?

I think I mainly forgot Greater Good existed! I think I should have enough recursion/reanimation besides Gyrus that it should be worth including. Maybe over Oran Frostfang? Though it giving deathtouch and being findable off of creature tutors is semi-relevant.

Living Death is one I thought about after I saw it in play a few weeks ago. Between LftL, TorEx, and Survival I feel like I have enough ways to have a hefty yard. Only downside compared to when I ran it in Kresh and Savra is that I wouldn’t be able to sac my board first easily to turn it almost completely one-sided

plucky hare
#

Greater good makes sense so you can sac the tokens to draw before they’re gone.

#

Also on that, maybe birthing pod ?

#

Snd evolutionary leap. Sac the tokens to get more creatures out

#

Or in hand

#

Living death is better with a sac outlet ya. It’s a pet card of mine that I enjoy especially if you have alot of strong etb effects on creatures

wild spindle
# plucky hare Also on that, maybe birthing pod ?

I actually took of Birthing Pod for Eldritch Evo recently. BPod is nice but a lot of my creatures kinda want to stay on the board so it would eat one or two creatures and then just hang around. Being sorc speed meant that I can’t sac the tokens either. Meanwhile Eldritch Evo and Fiend Artisan being able to jump several cmcs at once gives me a bit more flexibility.

It is still on the paper list since I haven’t managed to snag an EE yet and I have put in a few more ETB creatures than before so I’ll keep testing it for now and see if I still want to do the swap.

I actually think Survival is what I swapped for it lol

#

Already slotted in living death and greater good, I’ll see what I end up swapping for them but I do think they’ll be solid inclusions. Living Death might not be as big of a slam dunk as it is in other decks, but I think it will add that little extra omph the deck might be missing post board wipe

How about sneak attack and guardian project

#

Also I wonder if like, pumping Gyrus makes sense. [[grave strength]]

elfin snowBOT
plucky hare
#

So you can reanimate bigger things

wild spindle
#

Sneak Attack I’m deff looking to get my hands on. Ive slept on it for far too long.

Guardian project I keep seeing in lists, is it really that solid? I guess its a cheaper Soul of the Harvest and that was a bomb for me back in the day but something about it feels off to me for some reason

plucky hare
#

Soul of the harvest is similar too ya. Just some draw since your goal is to reanimate creatures every turn

#

Maybe [[foundation breaker]] instead of rec sage

elfin snowBOT
plucky hare
#

As it’s cheaper and puts itself in the yard right away

wild spindle
#

Ooh yeah that’d be good for sure

plucky hare
#

Oh wait , nvm on guardian project as that doesn’t trigger off tokens

wild spindle
#

Yea guardian will miss tokens but still draws per creature which seems fine. I’ll probably see how it runs in Vishgraz and then include it here

plucky hare
#

If you want a fun mill card, [[breach the multiverse]] looks cool

elfin snowBOT
plucky hare
#

You get 4 creatures and you fill your yard a bit

wild spindle
#

Any clue if its runs better than Sepulchral Primordial? That was another recent cut. Picking my own body and hitting walkers seems good but dunno how much better

plucky hare
#

Not sure tbh

#

It does fill your yard better than primordial

wild spindle
#

Alright, gonna test these swaps for Gyrus

Added:
Sneak Attack
Greater Good
Fiend Artisan
Invasion of Ikora
Etali, Primal
Living Death
Foundation Breaker

Cut:
Finale of Devastation
Anje Falkenrath
Ogre Battledriver
Reclamation Sage
Ohran Frostfang
Domri, Chaos Bringer
Animate Dead

I kinda feel like OG Sheoldred might be a better swap than like Animate Dead but my Sheoldred is kinda special </3

Also kinda between Urabrask and Battle Driver. I feel like removing the ability for opponents to block as easily is more relevant than the extra +2/+0, and running all three praetors is kinda funny.

I feel pretty good about the other swaps
