Hello everyone! Here's a fun (not at all original) idea I had for Najeela. Let me know if there's anything in the deck that underperforms or some sleeper cards I should add. I specifically left out cards that would make me go infinite, because I don't like combos. Unfortunately, that means I had to cut a lot of really useful cards. I may, in the future, add a caveat of only being able to activate Najeela once per turn so I can run some of those cards. Let me know what you think!
#Najeela Warriors

Id cut Edric and Devilish Valet.
Add more instant removal in its stead. Like Settle the Wreckage and Swords to Plowshares, etc
Would also remove Goblin Chainwhirler and Elves of Deep Shadow.
You could add Utopia Tree if you need mana that badly, or just throw some rocks like Timeless Lotus
And Arcane Signet.
Also, Prismatic Geoscope is good too for a mana rock
Hope this helps
I wanted to play into the aggro theme of warriors so I figured edric would be a better option. I'm slightly light on removal, I agree.
Devilish Valet will likely stay until I have a chance to play it in paper because I've never experimented with it and wanted to give it a shot
Plus with the tokens from Najeela it'd get huge
Goblin Chainwhirler was one of those additions that was like "Oh really, he's a warrior?" So he can go as well, though I'm wary of lowering the number of warriors in the deck for non warrior cards
[[Utopia tree]]
Well I'd just run [[sylvan caryatid]] since it's better but it's an interesting include
I also tried to keep the ramp to one mana where possible because I wanted to be able to cast Najeela t2, so I can get the pain train rolling quickly
And since my mana base is "perfect", meaning shocks, fetches, duals, and a few extraneous pieces, I figure fixing isn't going to be the main part I'd wanna focus on when considering one dork over another
For sure Edric can go, but in favor of more removal I'm not sure. I don't want to be stuck with nothing to do over and over, and [[coastal piracy]]effects guarantee that
You can also consider, if you wanna draw a ton of cards, add cards like [[Decanter of Endless Water]] and [[Thought Vessel]] mostly for the handsize.
And yes, removal is needed here. I would also personally cut all warriors that just give +0/+1 and vice versa for other utility spells. Maybe add Lightning Greaves and/or [[Bear Umbra]]
Also, probably add [[Skyshroud Claim]] over Cultivate?
Not necessarily drawing a ton, but having a high enough density of that effect to consistently get at least one.
I agree removal is needed, for sure. I think I took out [[of the Scale]] already
Multiple cards match “of the Scale”, can you be more specific?
One of my fav removal cards is [[Forsake the Worldly]] due to its option to cycle it when you don’t need it for card draw. Also it exiles instead of destroy.
In truth, I prefer to exile permanents than destroy. More so in metas heavy with recursion
Hmmmm I'd probably want to use [[dismantling wave]] first for its option to wipe vs. Target
But you've got a good point
Cycling has never been a favorite tack-on effect of mine
You can use [[Winds of Abandon]] for creature wipe.
In all honesty, I never cycle the card. Did it one and regretted it. But as I said, exiling is better than destroy. Also [[[Anguished Unmaking]] and [[Utter End]]. There is also [[March of Otherworldly Light]] and [[Farewell]]
Sorcery
Exile target creature you don't control. For each creature exiled this way, its controller searches their library for a basic land card. Those players put those cards onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.
Overload

(You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of "target" with "each.")
If you want something in green, you can run [[Return to Nature]] (good for spot removing graveyard stuff people trying to bring back) and [[Fade into Antiquity]]. Fade is not the best, but for redundancy’s sake, I mention it
All good suggestions. I'm firmly against winds of abandon but I might do some searching on what options I feel like using. My go to for artifact and enchantment removal is typically [[Return to dust]]/[[Crush Contraband]] for being able to do 2 in 1
Also [[Dust to Dust]] if you want a cheaper option. Downside is the sorcery speed.
(I love finding old cards and giving them some love)
Oh I know of it. Pauper staple!
Unfortunately it only hits artifacts, I'd prefer the flexibility
: Add one mana of any color.
