here's the Crest of Pacifism in action! when paired with another (non-pacifist) player, the pacifist won't be able to deal damage directly, but they'll also be protected from almost all damage too. mobs won't target them either
this lets you play a supportive or noncombatant role c: you can buff your partner with potions or food without worrying about taking damage

or maybe if you go on a mining expedition, you can just have fun and mine to your heart's content without having to worry about monsters !! your partner that's protecting you on the other hand....

players that are pacifists will generate these particles !! no point in attacking them, you can't hurt them directly, and they can't hurt you directly either
players that are enchanters will generate these particles ! if they're an enemy, strike them down ASAP, they'll buff their teammate a ton until the pair's broken! luckily, they take extra damage and deal halved damage, so they shouldn't be too hard to kill as long as you avoid their teammate.
players with hatred in their heart will generate these particles! kill them immediately before they kill you first! they take significantly mroe damage, but are able to deal double damage. avoid letting them attack you!
