#My awtter showed up in a group photo with all accessories on when they should have been off

Need help figuring out why in a recent group photo, my awtter model ended up appearing in all the accessories when I have them turned off.
First photo is how he should appear, and second is how he appeared. I am on PC and now wondering if it has something to do with a quest model.

There’s a few common reasons for that.

  1. The person taking the photo have there safety settings set to not show animations. Which with the awtter by default the glasses and collar is on. So without animations being enabled, they will still see it that way.
  2. Just a desync with the quest and pc version. This is something just a bug in vrc, that you have to reset your avatar from time to time. Or could be an issue with non matching parameters. That’s shouldn’t be the case if you use the awtter merger since it should be the same list on both.

If I had to guess, I think it’s the first option. Since your eyes are not showing the right shader either.

I'll be looking into this in the coming week. Will have to meet with some quest users and such.

The photographer did not have you shown. The massive black pupils is a give away that this is the case. Normally the photographer needs to have everyone shown or more easily deactivate their shield settings. Since you were not shown, your animators did not run and thus everything you see in Unity when uploading is shown.

Yeah I dunno what is going on exactly. either I gotta retry everything again or have someone try and fix me

I messed with contrast and such but yeah. I need to figure out how to unmess it

If any steps/advice can be done, do walk me through

#

possible idea is just removing the accessories I have no plan of using

Still seems like it safely settings on the photographer. Especially the eyes just being black.
And that you really can’t do much. The accessories tho, you can flip them off by default in unity.

Have to ask Bullet to confirm about.

Sure and again. The eyes being black could also very much just be me adjusting contrast to see myself better

#

I'm frustrated by things but biggest things are, trying to make sure my accessories don't appear and also make sure my eyes are my intended green. It was my first time trying to upload an avatar

Hope we can get this fixed

that is if Clark did any modifactions

#

like if he added new stuff to the awtter it is best to Use the pc parametters to keep both in sync

I need to figure out how to delete the accesories I do not want to use on the awtter

Ngl I’m not sure if that is a imposter. (Unless they really updated that system, the awtter used to be broke pretty bad with it)

And thinking more about it, I’m leaning towards it’s being a desync. Like the collar I know is normal on the base awtter. But the glasses aren’t if I recall correctly.
So even if someone had high safety settings, the glasses shouldn’t show up, just the collar and watch.

I was talking with a friend yesterday and they said I was using my imposter (which is something I did make) but maybe it is a desync or I just did not upload/make my awtter correctly. Things have been a major pain in the ass with trying to get it uploaded and such

Alright then maybe I should reset avatar or try to reupload it.

The accessories are on blendshapes. So to fully remove them you have to do some work in blender.
