Awtter 3.0 alpha as defective tracking. Not sure if the eyes are affected too. Does it work on other face tracking avatars (to rule out a setup problem)?

tall badger
#

i havent tested- but the face tracking application did give me a thingy- i think it was saying that the avatar might have been out of date or smthing with the current face tracking- but ill double check

#

awtter

#

other avatars work

storm blaze
#

The Awtter 3.0a is bugged. There will be a release Soon©®.

tall badger
#

alright

#

is there a manual fix i could do?

storm blaze
#

I have no experience with eye tracking, there are some online guides. I can try and find one.

tall badger
#

hmm

#

alright, ill be patiently waiting for the release

So

#

i did some testing

#

i got the normal 3.0 standard to work- appearently the Eye tracking on it was automatic but it didnt have blinkers or mouth movements

#

appearently most avatar support looking around and you DONT wanna turn off eye look for the awtter from what ive seen

#

but once i got mouth and eyelids working- eye look stopped working and it went to default look around- so i turned off eye look to test and that broke the eyes again with the same glitchy issue that the eye tracking awtter has

#

im attempting 1 more test to see if itll work-

#

i dont even remember what i just changed

#

@storm blaze lemme know if this is helpful in any way

The full release of 3.0 is next week, perhaps wait till then. Tracking problem should be fixed.

eye gaze tracking still not working. 😦

quartz relic
#

got rid of the gaze parameters and all of the animation controllers for the eyes themselves and got native gaze tracking to take over.

We found the issue and a fix will be up

sure, let me spin up a new project

#

Fresh V3.0.75 avatar is working now.

kind harness
#

It was an animator thing, glad it’s set up now

quartz relic
#

All Ive gotta do now is move my textures/shaders over and it looks like everything should "just work" now

#

👍

#

The quest thing almost had me pulling the rest of my hair out before I remembered that Unity is case sensitive. And thats fixed too. The quickness is much appreciated!

meanwhile:

Check the contents of the folder _Shade the Bat, there should be only one version listed there.

tall badger
#

interesting

storm blaze
#

What does the contents of the Assets folder show?

tall badger
#

did i break it?

storm blaze
#

Not sure, if nothing makes sense, blame Unity and restart it

storm blaze
#

Update: Project is a mess, the 3.0.45 alpha awtt was still present causing problems.

tall badger
#

note for the record, on my awtter eye tracking appears to be broken, its updated to .75 but i did frankenstein it alot- i will be making a plain awtter later to test if its just my awtter- i suggest others also test

#

more tests, more accurate conclutions

control test is successful, blinking works, eye tracking works, and so does mouth

#

my avatar is just defective

#

it is unknown of why

kind harness
#

Can you check nose boop and tears on eyes to see if it resets for you

tall badger
#

those do reset

#

those arent broken for my test avatar

#

im using .76 for my test

kind harness
#

Thanks for checking

quartz relic
#

It looks like the Quest stuff should be working though, it all works with the animation controllers from the PC Face+Eye tracking setup.

solid umbra
#

Okies, thanks to both of you ^^

Avatar 3.0 ((the combination unity tool where can combine fx layers and such)) gets fussy about write defaults being mixed, you may need to let people know that it should be left alone or manually set without avatar 3.0 or that you should remove some layers before turning all on- that would fix some issues with eye tracking

tall badger
#

I say remove some layers, i mean set additive and action layer to empty
