1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
okay, ill check it out
Lets continue here instead of General
okay
To make a model quest compatible your will need to change your build target in Unity to Android. Also note that Quest (Android) is very limited and not everything will be supported. The model may even be too much for Quest.
Do you have a VRM package of that avatar since you were asking about VRM?
its .vrm
i got the vrm plugins on unity & blender
got that
There is converter for VRM to VRChat for Unity.
Oh, so you already have it in Unity?
yes
In the VRChat SDK there is a button to switch build target to Android.
yeah
Click that and wait. It will take some time.
After that, look at any potential problems like incompatible shaders etc and then upload. This will be the quest verison.
Yes, if there are no problems after conversion.
That the "Game" view, click on Scene
Double click on myselfquest to have Unity focus on the object.
Depends on many factors like amount of textues and PC speed. Can take a few minutes.
There should be a little popup windows with a status bar doing things.
If you can click things in Unity, its done.
i clicked the android thing like 3 times and nothing happends
Try and restart Unity.
Okay
im creating a complete new project
now just click on android or click auto fix before?
now the buttons are grayed out
Dont click Auto Fix for this.
okay
There are two problems that needs to be resolved for Quest supports.
How did you upload this as PC? Since this is still Windows Target? You have too many bones.
idk i watched a video how to upload a vroid avatar
its working, i tried it in vr
Ah okay, did you open the scene witch which you did the upload?
now i just pressed switch to android
Try it.
its grayed out
Then you are missing the Android SDK/NDK modules for unity.
Did you install Unity with the Unity Hub?
are they on the vrchat site?
i installed it with the link on the vrchat site
There are some possibilites here, uninstall Unity 2019.4.31 and reinstall it with Unity Hub. This is the recommended path.
i cant find the 2019.4.31 version on the hub
You can find the Unity hub link in the archive: https://unity.com/releases/editor/archive
But first you need to uninstall Unity 2019.4.31
okay
"Remove from hub" is not enough. You have to find it in your Apps & Features and Uninstall.
also unity hub?
Leave Unity hub alone for now
okay
After Uninstall you can use this link to install Unity via the hub: unityhub://2019.4.31f1/bd5abf232a62
Before you install you need to select the Android modules.
do i have to install the mobile thing on visual studio?
No, its under platforms like the picture on my previous post.
Is your internet good enough for a video call?
yeah
Okay, gimme 5 mins, just nomming some food.
Alright
