Looks fine in Unity but turns into a nightmare in game. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely something wasn't done correctly.

I added the piercings and my colors to the avatar and when I tested it he turned out like this.

Which FBX did you use for the Avatar?

#

Assuming you followed the Piercings Tutorial?

The pc fbx

#

I didn’t use the cat blender, would that have messed up the entire thing?

I didn’t check those. But I can try again.

Also, it's worth noting that if you are using a different FBX that is outside the Unity Project you're using, then that is where another issue leads.

The Armature Scale was fixed as of v2.9.70 and newer. Thus, making older Awtter FBX's deprecated. So make sure you're using the correct one.

I’m using the most recent one

The original Blender file may not be, so make sure it's indeed the FBX from the Unity Project.

#

Other than that, try the settings I suggested above exactly.

Good news

Looks to me it works now?

Yeah it’s all good now. I think you were right about the export settings.

Yeah, when using Blender it’s recommended to use the correct export settings that the original author used to ensure full functionality. The export settings I showed is what Shade uses for the Awtter.

It’s also what I’d say a common standard for Avatar creation, as many creators use the same export settings. So feel free to write that down as it will be useful to know later on down the road.
