Every time i try to open the file in substance painter it keeps saying " cannot load this project with this software version: Data too recent for this software version "

This is normal. You must update Substance Painter to v8.1.3 or newer in order to open the file, as the Awtter 3.0 Substance file was made specifically with that version.
Looking at your status bar, you are currently two version numbers behind, that being v8.1.1.

If I’m not mistaken that’s managed by the Creative Cloud application. That is where all Adobe Apps are managed and where you can update your installation.

It’s under the Texture Set List. Select “Body” in order to see them.
There are two Texture Sets in the Template. “Accessories” is for the Props, while “Body” is pretty self-explanatory.
