So I'm currently at Qissa's house and I'm kind of stuck because every time I try and go to his right or basically get too close to him the game FORCES me to interact with him so I can't move forward because he just keeps talking every time.

Glad to hear it and to clarify both exiting to menu and closing and restarting the game did not help so I was forced to return to checkpoint
