Welcome to Timed 1v1, an unranked matchmaking mode! Enter matchmaking and you will be matched up with a player in a game of 1v1 versus.
Send lines and knock out the opponent as much as possible within 2 minutes. Get Back-to-Back clears to send more line attacks and get KO's! And remember, you'll come back if you top out!
If you leave the game early at any point, you will be awarded a loss. Your matches will not affect your rating.

Gameplay

Timed 1v1 is an unranked game mode where a player can play against one opponent in a timed match. Similar to Tetra League, there is a matchmaking system to find other players. Match rules are the same as the ones used in Tetra League, but there is a two-minute time limit, both players have infinite lives and only one point is needed to win. This mode keeps track of the number of matches won, which is only visible to the player.

Winning conditions

After the time limit has expired, the player with the most KO's is the winner. If both players are tied for the most KO's, the winner is decided by the following:

  • Highest total attack
  • Lowest board height
    If players are tied for all of the above, the match is considered a draw.

I think one problem is that if you have like 2~3 ko ahead of opponent
then you can just stall to drag out the timer and still win

What happens if you get KOed? Does the board go reset to empty, does the bag also reset?

If a reset happens, how does it prevent the opponent from possibilty sending a 40 spike to infinite KO reset loop?

I do like the idea though, seems like a good middle ground for a casual matchmaking mode.

I'd assume the game pretend that you have infinite Stock and resets including giving you a new bag, and to keep you from being kill farmed, probably resets the piece counter so you are back into opener phase
And probably opener phase works different in this gamemode with massively reduced garbage cap to make it consistently survivable
