Popup ads whenever I click anything?

For some reason the game gives me popup ads that open on my default browser? Just noticed this problem today on but not sure why this is happening now.

This is also happening to me in quick play, it will pull up the website of the ad and unfocus my tetrio

still happening, just got back onto the game for the first time today and lost a 4-4 tetra league game from having to close 5 different pop up ads manually

I am having this issue as well. Not when I click anything, but I don't know what's triggering it. If it helps, it happens much less often on the Desktop app than in my web browser

My solution right now is to just close all the browsers, no backround processes

i figured that i'd keep ads given that it really doesn't use up that many resources but i'll turn it off for a while

literally joined this server abt this issue; i play on the app ver of tetrio on my pc and i just played a rank match where an ad will pop up in browser and lose focus to the game. it happened about 11-15 times throughout the game and i already have an ad blocker so i'm not sure what's up with that

on startup, desktop v8 will have text below the TETR.IO logo, while v9 just has the logo there and nothing else + a little intro animation incorporating the menu elements

in general, if you've downloaded recently it should be v9, v8 will prompt you to update

i have the issue in v9, it would happen not only when i was in menus/in game, but most of the time it would happen when i tabbed out of tetrio to discord or chrome. it would randomly open the ad regardless of what i was doing (possibly when a new one came)

This is the kind of page I get randomly instantly redirected to when on Tetrio website (chrome), it happens when one of the adverts changes...
I don't know if it's considered a popup entirely, just forcefully redirects me.
Does not occur in the client or any other website I visit, I think it's a malicious adsense advert
