#Add delays when playing the 'gravity' mod

With the ARE I could perfom some IRS/IHS just like those 20G games to let me could go full speed even on F8/F9
there's a saying among TGM players: "TGM is a rhythm game"
stacking cleaner and faster requires maintaining a good rhythm. disruptions to that rhythm can throw you off and cause you to misdrop. having even small amounts of entry/line delay helps maintain the rhythm
ericicx tetra legends NON gameplay

I think no delay is better; it shows precision of skill better
that's different
20G is not fully required tempo
non is required you to place the piece in exactly 3pps with 0 ARE
nope
go play some high difficulty 20G game first before say it
0 ARE is terrible with 20G
because the IRS/IHS is an important thing in it
we need it to let the piece wouldn't be stuck in the hole
another is why 0 ARE 20G is that difficult
because you can't think where you should place in 0 ARE
you need to think and move it before the lock delay runs out
entry delay allows for more consistent gameplay in maximum gravity
lack of entry delay doesn't show precision of skill in this context. it just makes gameplay much more error-prone and needlessly frustrating
low gravity and maximum gravity require very different skills, and game tuning that works well in one may not work well in the other
you also get to buffer inputs during entry delay. DAS preservation gets super awkward in maximum gravity without entry delay. IRS and IHS are a game-changer. it's why Shirase mode in the third TGM game is so fun to play
ye
Ahh, so that’s why TGM2/3 will lower the delays as you go on, so that you have to play at a faster rhythm?
high entry/line delay with low lock delay feels weird, so yeah
you can play at ridiculously low lock delay with step reset instead of move/rotation reset if the delay is long enough
without decreasing the entry/line delay accordingly, the game would still be a bit slow
i know lol
Can agree as a TGM player
Can agree as a 20G fan (every game I played that featured 20G had delays and they were a blessing)
The delays allowed us to das for more leniency
And it’s basically been implemented in every 20g game ever since
Is there Entry Delay in TEC master mode?
Just wondering if this mod is based on TEC master mode
there is
it shouldn't matter if this change lets you get higher scores
There's 100 ms entry delay and shrinking line clear delay, down to 10ms
Here's what I think the spawn and line delays should be for Freefall:
- Floor 1: 24 Lock, 15 Spawn, 12 Line
- Floor 2: 22 Lock, 13 Spawn, 11 Line
- Floor 3: 20 Lock, 11 Spawn, 8 Line
- Floor 4: 18 Lock, 8 Spawn, 8 Line (spawn and line delays from TGM2 PLUS T.A. Death Lv. 300-399)
- Floor 5: 16 Lock, 7 Spawn, 7 Line (spawn and line delays from TGM2 PLUS T.A. Death Lv. 400-499)
- Floor 6: 15 Lock, 6 Spawn, 6 Line (spawn and line delays from TGM2 PLUS T.A. Death Lv. 500-999 and TGM3 Shirase Lv. 300-499)
- Floor 7: 14 Lock, 6 Spawn, 6 Line (spawn and line delays from TGM2 PLUS T.A. Death Lv. 500-999 and TGM3 Shirase Lv. 300-499)
- Floor 8: 13 Lock, 6 Spawn, 5 Line (same as TGM3 Shirase Lv. 500-599)
- Floor 9: 12 Lock, 6 Spawn, 5 Line (same as TGM3 Shirase Lv. 600-999)
- Floor 10: 11 Lock, 6 Spawn, 5 Line (spawn and line delays from TGM3 Shirase Lv. 600-999)
Hmm
For my thought
Earlier floor should have lower are, not just like in TGM3...
(in my thought less than 12f is better)
Updated
Better
We need ARE so badly...
I can't even do floor 8 in freefall but can consistently do guideline lv30
no ARE had very much difference between has ARE in 20G
That's why you'll fell it's much more harder in QP
as a TGM player, i beg for this to be added
freefall should be more like shirase
And T.A. Death to an extent
